Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a ‘dream’ contract offer for midfielder Lucas Bergvall amid his impressive debut Premier League season, according to reports in Sweden.
The Lilywhites are reportedly eager to reward the 19-year-old with improved terms, despite signing him to a five-year deal just before the season.
According to FotbollDirekt, a new contract is already in the works for the Sweden international, with negotiations between the two parties anticipated to start in the summer.
It remains unclear how much of an increase to his current £15,000-a-week wages Bergvall is likely to receive, but he is almost certain to soon move out of the lowest earners at Spurs.
Spurs to Offer New Deal for Bergvall
Amid his breakout year in North London
Bergvall, who joined Spurs from Swedish side Djurgarden last July, has since established himself as a regular in Ange Postecoglou’s selection and has made 40 appearances across all competitions so far this season.
The 19-year-old has only been absent from Tottenham’s starting line-up in the Premier League in 2025 on three occasions and has featured in every game, assisting once in the 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
The four-cap Sweden international has earned widespread praise for his performances, including from Pep Guardiola, who labelled the midfielder ‘unstoppable’ after Manchester City’s 1-0 win over Spurs in February.
GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Bergvall has scored one goal and provided four assists in 40 appearances for Tottenham this season.
Tottenham have several contract decisions to make in the coming months, as Ben Davies, Sergio Reguilon, Fraser Forster and Alfie Whiteman’s deals are expiring after the season.
The Lilywhites could also part ways with forwards Timo Werner and Mathys Tel once their loans finish, although they do hold options to make the deals permanent, with Tel’s move potentially costing around £51m.
