Tottenham are said to be exploring a move for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke this summer after the star bagged 19 Premier League goals last season. Solanke is said to have a £65million release clause in his contract and appeared to tease a move with a cryptic quote on social media.

But Spurs could try to get the transfer fee down by offering Bournemouth a part-exchange deal.

And Express Sport takes a look at three players Tottenham could use as collateral to tempt the Cherries.

Giovani Lo Celso

Argentina international Giovani Lo Celso has featured in 77 Premier League games since joining Tottenham from Real Betis in 2019 but has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular under any manager in north London.

The 28-year-old, who has won 57 caps for his country and was part of the Argentina squad that won the Copa America last month, started just four top-flight matches last term.

But he would be a welcome addition to the Bournemouth squad and could help the Dorset club kick on to the next level thanks to his nous and experience at the highest level of the game. And with only one more year remaining on his contract at Spurs, the north London giants would surely be more than happy to include him in any deal for Solanke.

Manor Solomon

Manor Solomon is another player who Tottenham may be willing to sacrifice, with the winger missing eight months of the last campaign after being forced to undergo surgery for a meniscus problem in his right knee in October.

The 25-year-old impressed for Fulham after moving to England from Shakhtar Donetsk two years ago and could jump at the chance to play regular football for Bournemouth following an injury-hit couple of seasons.

The winger, who is contracted to Tottenham until the summer of 2028, is unlikely to be a regular starter under Ange Postecoglou. And a transfer to the south coast could work in everyone’s favour, with Bournemouth desperate to establish themselves as a mid-table Premier League side.

Alejo Veliz

If Bournemouth aren’t tempted by Lo Celso or Solomon, Tottenham could offer the Cherries a loan deal for up-and-coming talent Alejo Veliz.

The 20-year-old joined Tottenham from Rosario Central a year ago and spent the second half of last season on loan at Sevilla.

Veliz featured six times for the Spanish side and will be keen to have a crack at the Premier League, with Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola likely to be able to provide more short-term opportunities than Postecoglou.
