This index puts Tottenham top of the table with a waste rating of 24,750,610 kg of rubbish per home day on average followed by their local rivals Arsenal at 24,189,159 kg and Newcastle United at 23,490,851 kg. In the Premier League, Bournemouth are the most environmentally friendly club with a waste rating of 5,529,843 kg of rubbish per home game. How LitterBins compiled their study: Data was collected from local authorities across England and Wales, LitterBins looked up the amount of waste collected around stadiums across the 92 clubs in the Premier League and English Football League based on their locations.This data was then divided by the latest population figures for each local authority to produce a waste collected per head for these locations. Finally, this waste per head number was multiplied by the average attendance figures from last season to give a predicted average for waste per game for each of the 92 clubs in the top tiers of English football to produce the final ranking.

Meanwhile, Sunderland produce the most waste per game per home club in the Championship with 18,460,695 kg of rubbish ahead of Leeds United at 14,175,277 kg, Middlesbrough at 12,288,834 kg and Derby County at 11,986,199 kg.
At the other end of the Championship ranking, Oxford United produces the least waste of those in the second-tier with 3,315,324 kg of rubbish.

In League One, the highest ranking clubs for waste per game are Huddersfield Town at 9,155,583 kg, Birmingham City at 9,002,989 kg and Bolton Wanderers at 6,958,219 kg.
Crawley Town on the other hand, produce just 900,753 kg per home game as the lowest ranked club in terms of waste production in the third-tier.

In the fourth-tier of English football, Bradford City produces the most waste production per home game with 6,882,968 kg ahead of Notts County at 5,272,105 kg and Doncaster Rovers at 3,700,715 kg.
Meanwhile, Accrington Stanley are the most environmentally friendly club in League Two, wasting 919, 086 per home game.
