Tottenham legend Clive Allen is a big fan of one of Spurs’ top summer targets, admitting that he has been very impressed with how the player has developed over the course of this season.

It has been reported over recent weeks that Tyler Dibling has been identified as Tottenham’s top summer target, with the North London club said to be determined to bring him through the door.

Tottenham fans will get to see Dibling in action against their side this afternoon, and Clive Allen believes the winger will be a huge threat for the Spurs defence, given his ability to carry the ball.
The 63-year-old is convinced that the England Under-21 international has a bright future in the game irrespective of whether or not he leaves St Mary’s this summer.
Allen told SPURSPLAY about the Tottenham Hotspur target: “Yeah, I think he’s been their best player this season. I think he’s grown in stature and confidence.

“I think he’s a great carrier of the ball, we’ve seen his successful dribbles (40) this season and he’s going to be a threat (versus Tottenham). He’s looking to impress people whether he stays at Southampton or moves on in the summer.”

While the media speculation continues to talk up the chances of the winger exiting the South Coast this summer, the Saints are not expected to make a deal for their academy graduate easy to complete.
