Tottenham are in need of reinforcements, as they sit 15th in the Premier League table under manager Ange Postecoglou, who is under considerable pressure amid the club’s recent form.

They lost 2-1 to Leicester City in their last league game, in which, Spurs threw away a 1-0 lead early on in the second half, to lose to a side that had not won a game in eight matches. Postecoglou will be keen to add to his squad in the final week of transfer deadline day, with the Monday 11pm deadline looming on the Spurs boss.

Tottenham add £60 million defender

Goalkeeper: Antonin Kinsky

Defenders: Pedro Porro, Micky Van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Piero Hincapie

Tottenham have seen several top defensive players get injured this season, but things are beginning to look more positive. Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario remains out but is back training, so new signing Kinsky will keep the spot in goal for now.

Pedro Porro will stay at right-back as a player that Tottenham will try hard to keep hold of in the summer transfer window, which could be difficult. Van de Ven and Romero have both been injured, but they look set to return this week for Spurs.

Tottenham are in need of defensive reinforcements, and if the transfer rumours are true, they could sign Bayer Leverkusen star Piero Hincapie, who can play both at centre-back and a left back.

The 23-year-old has been linked to Tottenham this month, alongside rivals Chelsea. Reports have said that the German club are likely to ask for around £60m for the defender, who has made 28 appearances for Xavi Alonso’s side this season.

He could provide Spurs with a young, versatile defender, who can be a part of Postecoglou’s starting XI for seasons to come. He would also help with their much-needed depth at the back.

Premier League starlet Tyler Dibling moves to North London

Midfielders: Rodrigo Bentancur, Dejan Kulusevski, Tyler Dibling

Bentancur keeps his place in central midfield, as he remains a key part of Spurs’ starting XI. However, now that Yves Bissouma is back from injury, the two could be competing for a spot in Postecoglou’s team.

Kulusevski moves back to midfield in order to accommodate a pair of signings in attack, but the Swedish international is a must-start for Spurs. He has scored six goals and four assists in the Premier League this season.

Tottenham have been linked with Southampton midfielder Tyler Dibling who has impressed in what has been a poor season for the Saints. The 18-year-old is being monitored by several clubs including Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

Dibling has made 24 appearances this season, scoring four goals and two assists. He has played as both a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder and a winger for the Saints this season. A versatile option for Postecoglou at Spurs.

Tottenham land £40m Chelsea and Arsenal target

Attackers: Heung-Min Son, Brian Brobbey, Mathys Tel

Firstly, talisman Son has still been excellent for Tottenham this season even though they sit 15th in the Premier League table. He has scored 10 goals and contributed six assists in 28 appearances. He will continue to be a key player for Postecoglou.

Tottenham and West Ham have been heavily linked to signing Ajax striker Brian Brobbey, who looks set to leave the Dutch side in the final week of the January transfer window.

The Hammers have reportedly agreed personal terms for Brobbey, but don’t want to land the striker on a permanent deal which is how Ajax want him to leave. Spurs could swoop in with an offer in the region of £25m-£30m which could be enough for the Eredivisie side to sell.

Brobbey is a target man centre-forward, the 22-year-old would provide Postecoglou with a replacement for the injured Dominic Solanke up top for Spurs. He reportedly wants to join Tottenham over rivals West Ham.

Furthermore, Tottenham have also been linked to Chelsea and Arsenal target Mathys Tel, who looks set to leave Bayern Munich in the remaining week of the January transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham are keen on the attacker, who reportedly wants to leave Bayern, due to his lack of consistent game time. The Frenchman has to compete with Harry Kane for minutes, and so could join a Premier League side this month.

The German club would reportedly want more than £40m for his signature, a fee that Tottenham can afford should they decide to pursue the 19-year-old, who could provide Spurs with a top attacking talent on a long-term deal.
