Tottenham Hotspur’s summer transfer window has largely revolved around player departures with Daniel Levy sanctioning double digit exits.

Ange Postecoglou has now had over a year to get to know the squad which he inherited last summer.

There have been plenty of ups and downs in north London during Postecoglou’s tenure as the Tottenham manager.

But the 59-year-old has now been able to really put a stamp on this squad to make it his own with three transfer windows under his belt.

And there is still time for Tottenham to make some late moves as they eye potential opportunities in the final days of the market.

However, there are still a number of players who could still be moved on before the end of play on Friday.

Spanish side are now pushing for ‘phenomenal’ Tottenham player

One of the players who is not involved in Postecoglou’s plans is Sergio Reguilon and he has received interest from Besiktas recently.

The defender is not the only player who could be set for the exit in north London with Giovani Lo Celso also still at the club.

Lo Celso has received interest from Aston Villa and his former manager Unai Emery already this summer.

But it seems as if there is now interest coming from his former club in Real Betis as Fabrizio Romano provides the latest.

According to the transfer expert, Betis are now pushing to secure a late move for the Argentina international.

Lo Celso is now expected to leave Tottenham this summer with the player having not been selected by Postecoglou during the opening two games of the new term.

It is believed Betis now have the ‘phenomenal‘ Lo Celso as their top target for the remaining days of the window with Nabil Fekir expected to depart.

The irony comes in it was Betis who Tottenham actually purchased Lo Celso from in a £55m total deal.

Giovani Lo Celso deserved more minutes under Ange Postecoglou

A lot can be made of Lo Celso’s time at Tottenham and, it has to be said, he was a huge disappointment in the grand scheme of things.

But there is definitely a case to be made that the Argentine deserved more minutes than what he got last season.

James Maddison’s form dramatically declined following his injury issue in the early stages of the month, but Lo Celso was made to watch the Englishman’s struggles from the bench.

In the summer, Lo Celso went on to win another Copa America with Argentina and even provided an assist in the final.

Perhaps Lo Celso didn’t show it in training, but he certainly looked positive when he did get a brief opportunity during Maddison’s injury absence.
