Intermediaries have offered Tottenham the chance to sign Celtic midfield star Matt O’Riley.

While Tottenham have already added Lucas Bergvall and Archie Gray to their midfield, they are still on the lookout for more experienced campaigners who can play an important role in the first team from the start. Matt O’Riley has been linked with the North London club and according to Tottenham insider Paul O Keefe, intermediaries offered Spurs the chance to sign the Celtic star.

The 23-year-old made the move to Scotland in the winter of 2022 and he has only gone from strength to strength since. The Fulham graduate was one of the standout performers for Celtic as he finished with 19 goals and 18 assists in his 49 outings. He has carried the form into the new season having bagged an assist in the opening league game.

While his contract with the Scottish outfit runs until the summer of 2027, there are high chances of the Danish international making a move this summer. Multiple top clubs want to sign the young midfielder and Spurs have been linked with him.

The North London club recently parted ways with Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and with the future of Giovani Lo Celso and Oliver Skipp still uncertain, they do need to reinforce their midfield before the end of the window. O’Riley could be a great addition to their ranks and intermediaries have offered Tottenham the chance to sign the player. That said, Spurs are not convinced about making a move for the former Fulham star.
