Tottenham Hotspur have been one of the busiest clubs in this summer’s transfer window across the entire Premier League.

Before Tottenham fans begin to question whether enough has been done in the market, it has to be remembered a lot of work has gone in to offloading unwanted players.

And with some of the players, it has proven harder than perhaps expected to find a new clubs for this summer.

Ange Postecoglou told the Tottenham fans that change would be coming this summer and there certainly has been that when it comes to outgoings.

Some may think Spurs could still have done with an extra few arrivals with Europa League football making their schedule a lot more congested than it was last season.

However, there is still time remaining in the transfer window for late activity to present itself and Spurs could well be open to that possibility.

More signings could land at Tottenham before Friday’s deadline

A busy final 72 hours of the transfer market has been mooted around Tottenham with the club still having players to sell.

The likes of Sergio Reguilon has received interest from Besiktas with the Spaniard’s Tottenham future over.

However, that is not to say that Spurs can be ruled out of signing any further players this summer with opportunities potentially presenting themselves in the final hours.

According to Sami Mokbel, Spurs would be open to looking into any late opportunities that may be circulating towards the end of the window.

“But in terms of incomings, they’re open to an opportunity if one presents itself,” he said on the Last Word on Spurs.

“But I don’t think they’re actively looking for something, at the moment.”

Even Fabrizio Romano is not ruling out the possibility of Tottenham making a late move ahead of the deadline on Friday night.

Tottenham need a new centre-back before the transfer deadline

One area which is yet to be addressed is a new centre-back with Tottenham having now allowed Ashley Phillips to leave on loan for the season.

Spurs saw last season just how bad injuries and suspensions hit and Micky van de Ven has already suffered one injury scare this season.

Ideally, Tottenham could do with a left-footed centre-back who would also be capable of playing out at left-back.

Manchester City and Arsenal both have players capable of fitting this role and it is certainly something which would strengthen the Spurs squad if they could pull it off.
