Tottenham Hotspur have just been told what their top managerial target, Adoni Iraola, is leaning towards doing this summer as the speculation over his future at Bournemouth continues to run rife.
Over the last few weeks, several outlets have been positive about Tottenham Hotspur’s chances of winning the race for the Bournemouth boss this summer.
It had been claimed by a few sources that Andoni Iraola is open to the idea of replacing Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham after his stellar work at the Vitality Stadium over the last two years.
However, a new report has now explained why Tottenham may end up being disappointed in their pursuit of the 42-year-old.
Tottenham may miss out on Andoni Iraola this summer
The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath has now confirmed that the Spanish coach will be one of the top candidates to take over at Spurs if Postecoglou leaves this summer.
However, he reveals that Iraola, who has one year left on his contract with the Cherries, may hand Daniel Levy a blow.
The journalist says that the 42-year-old is now ‘moving towards committing his immediate future to Bournemouth’, even though he is aware of interest from the likes of Tottenham.

McGrath adds that with the South Coast club are contention for European qualification, Iraola is leaning towards staying at the club for one more season. Meanwhile, Bournemouth are also trying to convince their head coach to sign a new deal.
How Bournemouth feel about Iraola’s future
Over the last 24 hours, Mike McGrath is now the only reliable journalist who has played down the chances of the Cherries boss making the switch to Spurs.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein revealed on Monday that Bournemouth are optimistic that Iraola will stay for one more season even though their head coach is attracting interest from a number of big clubs.
It seems like Tottenham may thus have to turn their attention to the other names on the managerial shortlist.
