It has been an almost picture-perfect 2025 for Tottenham full-back Djed Spence, who has now been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for February.

Djed Spence has enjoyed a stellar month. The full-back, who had to win over his manager after being outcast, has been turning heads with his performances. Ange Postecoglou even admitted he made it difficult for Spence on purpose.

Since forcing his way in, the English full-back has made himself undroppable, and February has been one of his finest months yet.

His impressive displays have not gone unnoticed. He scored his first Premier League goal, kept two clean sheets, and helped Spurs to three wins out of four in the league in the month of February.

Djed Spence’s form earns well-deserved recognition

So far this year, Djed Spence has been rated as the best Premier League defender. Spence also earned a spot in the European Team of the Month and now, he has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award for February.

Spence was outstanding at both ends of the pitch last month. He played a key role in Spurs’ back-to-back clean sheets against Brentford and Manchester United before scoring his first Premier League goal in a commanding 4-1 win over Ipswich Town.

Can Spence bring the award to Tottenham?

The full-back joins a strong list of nominees, including Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Beto (Everton), Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace), Yankuba Minteh (Brighton & Hove Albion), and Dominik Szoboszlai (Liverpool).

Should Spence win, he would become the first Spurs player to claim the award this season, adding to what has already been a remarkable turnaround for the 24-year-old.
