Tottenham return to Premier League action in an all-London clash against West Ham with their pre-international break humiliation still painfully fresh in the memory.

Spurs eased into a 2-0 halftime lead at Brighton last time out, only to collapse to a humbling 3-2 defeat.

Any credit for the previous weekend's authoritative 3-0 win at Manchester United quickly dissipated and Ange Postecoglou needs a strong response from his players.

West Ham have made a stumbling start to life under Julen Lopetegiui and ended a five-match winless run across all competitions when they beat Ipswich Town 4-1 in their previous match.

Tottenham vs. West Ham lineups, predicted starting 11, team news

Postecoglou must run the rule over a trio of attackers who are all closing on a return to action but might find the West Ham game comes too soon

Captain Son Heung-min has missed Spurs' past three games with a thigh injury. The South Korea star has returned to light training and his progress will be monitored ahead of the lunchtime kickoff.

Richarlison (calf) and Wilson Odobert (hamstring) also sat out for their respective international teams during the October break, while teenage midfielder Lucas Bergvall returned from duty with Sweden due to a minor injury.

The big decision for Postecoglou will be whether to stick with his attacking midfield configuration, featuring James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski as No. 8s or select Yves Bissouma or Pape Sarr for a little more ballast in light of the Brighton experience. The hunch is that the Spurs boss will double down.

Tottenham predicted XI (4-3-3 right to left): Vicario (GK) — Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie — Kulusevski, Bentancur, Maddison —Johnson, Solanke, Werner

Injured: Son, Richarlison, Odobert, Bergvall
