Arsenal are facing major competition to sign Kingsley Coman on loan from Bayern Munich after it emerged that Barcelona are keen on the winger, who has been made available for transfer. The Gunners are keen to bolster their attack amid talks to sign midfielder Mikel Merino, with Victor Osimhen continuing to be linked.
Osimhen is also on Chelsea’s agenda, but Joao Felix is now a serious contender to fill the Blues’ demand for a new striker after Samu Omorodion rejected a move to west London. A failure to agree a deal for Felix could see Conor Gallagher’s move to Madrid collapse.
Liverpool have been rejected by Martin Zubimendi and are now could go without signing a new midfielder this summer. Manchester United are set to announce Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui’s arrivals after undergoing medicals, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka off to West Ham. Over at Tottenham, Juventus’ Manuel Locatelli is a new target. Follow the latest market news, deals, rumours and gossip via Standard Sport’s LIVE transfer blog!

Chelsea aim to seal Joao Felix return as Victor Osimhen interest remains
Chelsea will look to strike a deal for Joao Felix in the region of £40million, in a move that would allow Conor Gallagher to complete his switch to Atletico Madrid, writes Nick Purewal.
Gallagher has been in Spain since last week after agreeing a £33.7m deal to leave Chelsea. But Chelsea will want him to return to England if Atletico do not seal the signing.
Chelsea’s owners still hold Felix in high esteem following his loan stint at Stamford Bridge, and have therefore been quickly open to a deal in light of the Samu Omorodion transfer falling through. Talks with Atletico are expected to continue this week.
Chelsea are still looking at striker options and remain interested in Victor Osimhen if the Napoli frontman becomes available on loan in the final weeks of the window. A deal for Felix will not impact their desire to bring in a new striker.

Chelsea are expected to respond imminently.

Tottenham turn to Manuel Locatelli
Tottenham are ready to bid for Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
Italian outlet JuveLive claim a bid worth £20.5m plus bonuses is being readied by Spurs for Locatelli, who the Old Lady would be willing to hear out offers for.
The Italy international is said to be ready to move to the Premier League, if the clubs can find an agreement.
Tottenham were keen on bolstering their midfield by signing Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher, a move which the player rejected.
Selling Locatelli would help Juve gather the funds to sign Teun Koopmeiners, the wantaway Atalanta ace previously linked with Liverpool.

Conor Gallagher tangled in Chelsea striker hunt
Conor Gallagher’s move to Atletico Madrid could hinge on Chelsea green-lighting a deal to re-sign Joao Felix.
The midfielder has been left in limbo by the Blues seeing a move for Samu Omorodion collapse, which was more-or-less a swap deal with Atleti worth around £35m.
The Telegraph report on Felix being keen to rejoin Chelsea but his arrival would likely push Noni Madueke or Raheem Sterling out rather than satisfy their need for a new striker. Juventus are keen on the 29-year-old winger.
Atletico are touting Omorodion to other clubs, which could bring in the funds to sign Gallagher.
Victor Osimhen is a target for Chelsea to fulfil their striker wish. They are said to favour a loan deal at this time, but are keeping their options open for a late-window push for a differently structured deal or an alternative target. Watch this space!

Arsenal face Barcelona battle for Kingsley Coman
Bayern Munich are open to loaning Kingsley Coman out as the battle intensifies for the French winger.
Arsenal are reportedly keen to sign him and Spanish outlet Sport have put forward Barcelona’s case to strike a deal.
A winger is a top priority for the Catalans and Bayern have offered Coman to both Barcelona and PSG. At this time, Nico Williams of Athletic Club is their top target.
But should that move fail to come off, Coman is a genuine option given coach Hansi Flick has worked with him before, who would not cost a huge amount of money and can act as a stop-gap before a big splash in next year’s market.
That means Arsenal do not have the luxury of time if they are to land the forward, given Barcelona’s difficulty in convincing Williams to quit Bilbao.
