Transfer news LIVE!

The start of the new Premier League season is just a few days away and all of Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal are expected to be busy in the summer transfer market before then. The Red Devils are reportedly closing in on deals for Bayern Munich pair Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui to continue their rebuild this summer, while Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Brighton’s Evan Ferguson are also said to be targets.

Chelsea have also been linked with the Republic of Ireland international as they ramp up their latest huge summer spending spree. There are claims that Napoli’s Victor Osimhen now wants a move to Stamford Bridge, having handed in a transfer request. The Blues are also in shock talks to bring Joao Felix back to the club from Atletico Madrid after their move for Samu Omorodion sensationally collapsed at the 11th hour due to contract issues.

Arsenal, meanwhile, remain keen on Real Sociedad’s Mikel Merino. Liverpool are believed to have been handed a major blow, with Martin Zubimendi turning them down, and could instead look to free agent midfielder Adrien Rabiot. Aaron Wan-Bissaka completed a medical at West Ham today, with Tottenham remaining keen on Jacob Ramsey as Emerson Royal prepares to depart and Newcastle tabling a third bid for Marc Guehi at Crystal Palace. Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is attracting interest from Bournemouth, writes Simon Collings.

The Cherries are on the hunt for a new striker after Dominic Solanke joined Tottenham last week as part of a deal worth up to £65million.

Nketiah is one option that Bournemouth are looking at, but Porto striker Evanilson is another player on the club’s radar.

Arsenal are open to selling Nketiah this summer and they had been in talks with Marseille over a move.

Reports in France, however, state Marseille are now set to swoop for Lens forward Elye Wahi after failing to agree a fee with Arsenal for Nketiah.

Conor Gallagher made to wait

Conor Gallagher is waiting for Atletico Madrid to complete the deal to bring him to Spain.

The Chelsea midfielder has been in Madrid for the last few days, having expected to finalise a deal after Chelsea agreed a £33.7million deal to sell him.

The Telegraph report that Gallagher has been training by himself, with the collapse of Samu Omorodion’s switch to Chelsea delaying the Englishman’s move the other way.

Everything is in place for Gallagher to join Atletico, but the Spanish club must first sell Omorodion or Joao Felix, who has been linked with a surprise return to Chelsea.
