Lopetegui has changed the back a few times this term. He opted for a back three of Max Kilman, Edson Alvarez and Konstantinos Mavropanosagainst against Chelsea at home where they lost 3-0. This is very different to their usual lineup, as seen in their most recent match against Ipswich Town. Emerson played at left-back with a centre-back partnership of Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo, with Wan Bissaka at right-back.

In their latest Premier League match, all four attacking-minded players scored. Michail Antonio opened the scoring in the first minute before Mohammed Kudus regained the lead in the 43’ minute. Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta also found the back of the net in a convincing display. This was a very different formation from their 1-1 draw away to Brentford, and it’s expected that Lopetegui will change the Hammers’ formation against Tottenham.
West Ham Recent Form and Tactics
After a difficult start to life at the London Stadium for Lopetegui, results have steadily improved for The Hammers. This was the third consecutive match that Brentford scored in the first minute, with the Bees also scoring in the first minute against both Manchester City and West Ham’s opponents this weekend Tottenham respectively.
