Former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot is still a free agent after his contract with Juventus ended in late June. Even though he has been linked with top clubs like AC Milan and Manchester United, he hasn’t signed with anyone yet.

Despite his notable contributions during his time at PSG, the club isn’t in a hurry to bring him back. RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins noted that the 29-year-old was never part of PSG’s plans.

TBR Football reports that Adrien Rabiot’s representatives have contacted Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur about a possible transfer. However, his high wage demands are turning away many Premier League clubs.

Moreover, the report notes that right now, it’s believed that the 29-year-old is asking for around £220,000 a week in wages. Le Figaro also reported that Rabiot’s mother still manages his interests, reportedly asking for a salary of over €10 million for her son.

Rabiot might be coming to Manchester United to join Manuel Ugarte, another former PSG midfielder. According to the French media outlet, the Red Devils are still interested in signing the veteran standout to strengthen their midfield.

Désiré Doué made his debut for Paris Saint-Germain in the 6-0 win over Montpellier Hérault SC on Friday night at the Parc des Princes. Moreover, the teenager noted that he has no regrets about his decision to come to PSG.

This summer, Doué attracted interest from several clubs, such as Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Tottenham Hotspur. Despite the interest from abroad, the player opted to remain in Ligue 1 and join PSG to be part of their youth movement.

Doué spoke to the media after the match and was asked about his decision to come to the French capital rather than to head another top club keen on signing him.

“As I said, Paris Saint-Germain is one of the best clubs in the world,” Doué said postgame. “It’s the club of the capital and today I’m not going back on my decision nor do I have any regrets. I’m just very happy to be here at PSG and to be able to wear the colors of PSG. They all welcomed me here very well.”

PSG have another young talent from France on their hands to grow with a team whose average age is 23.7. Doué had an impressive 2023-24 season, playing in 43 games across all competitions and tallying four goals and six assists for Rennes.

Additionally, the teenager won a silver medal during the Olympics as the French national team lost in the final to Spain.

Stade Rennais’ Désiré Doué will reportedly be heading to Paris Saint-Germain to continue his career in Ligue 1. Moreover, the amount that the Parisians are going to pay for the teenager is surfacing as the move becomes imminent.

This summer, Doué attracted interest from top European clubs such as Bayern Munich, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur. However, the Frenchman opted to remain in France and sign with the reigning Ligue 1 champions.

Furthermore, this decision came as a surprise to Bayern Munich as Sky Sport Germany’s Kerry Hau and Florian Plettenberg reported that the Bundesliga side had been optimistic about securing his commitment after positive discussions with him and his management.

The latest on Doué comes from journalist Ben Jacobs, who provided the financial side of the move. According to Jacobs, PSG’s total offer for Doué is lower than what Bayern Munich proposed.

PSG’s strategy was to secure Doué’s approval first and then submit a smaller bid. The key meeting after the Olympics between Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Doué, and his father played a crucial role in this approach. The fee is around €50 million, but it could reach up to €60 million, including add-ons.

PSG’s total fee for Désiré Doué is less than what Bayern offered. PSG’s tactic was to get Doué’s green light and then bid less: the post-Olympics meeting between Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Doué & his father was important.

PSG Could Re-enter Race for Liverpool and Tottenham Linked Player Amid Leipzig Interest - PSG Talk
Description

Olympique Lyonnais’ Rayan Cherki has caught the eye of several top European clubs this summer, with Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur all showing interest. However, the Parisians could be revisiting the player as his future is in limbo.

Borussia Dortmund emerged as the frontrunner for his signature with reports last month revealing that the two sides had agreed to personal terms. While Cherki is eager to join the German side, a transfer hasn’t been finalized yet.

Journalist Patrick Berger reported last month that discussions are at a standstill, and manager Nuri Sahin is not entirely convinced by the Frenchman’s arrival. The latest information on the Cherki file comes from L’Equipe’s Hugo Guillemet as he reports PSG’s stance on the player.

“What we know for sure is that there was a signed agreement between OL and PSG for €15 million for the player’s transfer,” Guillemet said (h/t Le10Sport). “There was even an agreement between Cherki and PSG.

“Actually, the interest from Borussia, which we can’t quite pin down, ended up breaking the deal with PSG. But there’s a chance Paris could come back into the picture.”

Leipzig have also entered the race recently for Cherki as the Bundesliga side looks to replace Dani Olmo who left for FC Barcelona this summer. The Lyon standout finished the 2023-24 season with three goals and nine assists in 39 matches across all competitions.

Olympique Lyonnais’ Rayan Cherki has attracted interest from several top European clubs this summer, including Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur.

However, Borussia Dortmund emerged as the frontrunner for his signature. While Cherki is eager to join the German side, a transfer hasn’t been finalized yet.

L’Equipe recently reported that PSG might make a move for Cherki in the next few days. He hasn’t signed with Dortmund yet, even though an agreement was in place with OL. Moreover, as the move to Dortmund is delayed, the Frenchman has a new suitor.

According to information from Sky Sports, which Foot Mercato can confirm, a move to Germany is becoming more likely for the Lyon native, as RB Leipzig has begun preliminary maneuvers.

The German club is keen to sign Rayan Cherki if its star, Dani Olmo, departs. It’s worth noting that Barcelona and Manchester City are closely targeting the top scorer of Euro 2024.

This transfer could give Cherki the opportunity to showcase his talent abroad, especially after he finished the season with three goals and nine assists in 39 matches across all competitions.

RB Leipzig could also give the Lyon native a chance to return to the Champions League. However, it’s important to note that Borussia Dortmund is still monitoring this situation, and PSG is also watching from a distance.

This summer transfer window, Olympique Lyonnais star Rayan Cherki has attracted interest from major European clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur. However, Borussia Dortmund surfaced as the winner of the race, but that might not be the case.

According to reports from L’Équipe earlier this month, Cherki was expected to sign with Dortmund. Additionally, the 20-year-old turned down PSG at the last minute, which the club didn’t take kindly to and blamed on the player’s representatives.

The French media also mentions that PSG put in an initial bid of €15 million with an extra €3 million in bonuses. However, Lyon turned down the offer, insisting on a substantial sell-on clause as part of any deal.

Despite reportedly being keen on Dortmund, journalist Patrick Berger reports that the transfer of Cherki to Dortmund is stalling. The discussions are at a standstill, and manager Nuri Sahin is not entirely convinced by the Frenchman’s arrival.

Cherki’s contract expires next year, and if he isn’t keen on renewing it, OL will need to sell the player now. If a move to Dortmund doesn’t happen, could PSG, Liverpool, or Spurs revisit this file? The youngster also made 39 appearances, scoring three goals and registering nine assists for Lyon.

Paris Saint-Germain are ready to spend close to €60 million on Stade Rennais’ Désiré Doué. The French midfielder is attracting significant interest from top European clubs, and PSG are moving quickly to secure his signature.

Recent reports indicate that Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in the young talent from Stade Rennais.

Sports Zone reports that PSG and Désiré Doué have made significant progress recently. At first, Doué was unhappy with the Parisians’ hesitation to make a move early in the transfer window.

Moreover, his agent, Moussa Sissoko, also favors a move to PSG over Bayern Munich. Sky Sport Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported this week that the German Giants are considering their next steps but have set clear limits, with their current offer at €55 million all-in.

Stade Rennais’ Désiré Doué is likely aware of the strong interest he’s attracting from top European clubs. Moreover, the player should be deciding on his future soon ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Reports from last month indicate that Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in the young talent from Stade Rennais.

Additionally, L’Equipe reported that PSG is preparing to submit another bid for Doué, aiming to secure a deal with Rennes. This new offer will feature a revised structure, differing slightly from their initial €45 million bid, which included add-ons.

Tottenham expert John Wenham believes that the Frenchman fits the profile that the Premier League side are pursuing in terms of young players who have yet to scratch their potential.

“I think this signing would fit in with the obvious strategy at the club of signing the most exciting young talent around,” Wenham said, speaking exclusively to Tottenham News.

“The likes of Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall have been signed, and Doué would add to that list.He is heavily linked to Munich and PSG. However, to Spurs’ credit, so was Luka Vušković, and so was Radu Drăgușin. They managed to do those deals and convince the players that they were the club to join, so why can’t they do it again?”

Doué had an impressive 2023-24 season, playing in 43 games across all competitions and tallying four goals and six assists for Rennes. Moreover, his stock could rise further with a strong showing for France.
