Cardiff City are interested in bringing in Tottenham forward Will Lankshear on loan, WalesOnline understands.

The Bluebirds have enjoyed a positive window to date, signing Yousef Salech on a permanent deal and Sivert Mannsverk on loan from Ajax. They have also made room, too, with Wilfried Kanga, Ryotaro Tsunoda and Tom Davies having left already and Manolis Siopis, Kion Etete, Michael Reindorf and Jamilu Collins all likely to leave before Monday's deadline.

But their work is not yet done. Bluebirds boss Omer Riza said he still wants one or two more in before the window closes, with the club braced for a busy end to the window. Sign up to our daily Cardiff City newsletter here.

Reports emerged on Friday morning that Cardiff were among the clubs keen on the 19-year-old striker and WalesOnline understands those reports are indeed correct, however the Bluebirds are not the only team interested in signing the player.

Our colleagues at Football.London report that fellow Championship sides Burnley, Middlesbrough, West Brom and Luton have all registered interest in the player. However we understand it's more likely a two-horse race, with Cardiff, along with another club, leading the charge for his signature.

The England under-20s striker has 11 appearances for Spurs' first team and shot into the public's wider consciousness earlier this season when he netted against Galatasaray in the Europa League back in November.

Having come through the youth system at Arsenal, Lankshear signed for Sheffield United in 2021, before moving back down to north London permanently the following year. Ange Postecoglu is keen to get the player out in order for him to get experience under his belt, with this set to be his first loan move.

If Cardiff do win the race for his signature, it will see Riza's striker stable sitting in rude health, with the in-form Callum Robinson and new signing Salech accompanied by the returning and Isaak Davies and potentially Lankshear.

How to watch Tottenham vs Leicester City today with game not on TV

Tottenham Hotspur, currently in a precarious position, are due to play against Leicester City, who are also battling relegation fears, this Sunday afternoon.

The stakes are high for Spurs' manager Ange Postecoglou, especially after a disheartening 3-2 loss to Everton.

Leicester, presently 15th in the Premier League, are a crucial opponent for the north London team at this juncture. A victory would silence any whispers of relegation and bolster the standing of their Australian coach.

Despite Ruud van Nistelrooy's squad not having tasted league success since December, Tottenham have found it challenging when up against such records, reports the Express.

Unfortunately, UK fans won't be able to watch the live action from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on TV due to broadcasting decisions by Sky Sports and TNT Sports.

Will the Tottenham vs Leicester match be televised in the UK?

The game has been rescheduled to a 2pm kick-off on Sunday due to Tottenham's Europa League obligations on Thursday - a situation that also impacts Aston Villa and Manchester United.

Sky Sports has opted to broadcast Brentford's trip to Crystal Palace, scheduled for 2pm on Sunday, over the Spurs game. This will be followed by Aston Villa vs West Ham at 4:30pm.

Meanwhile, TNT Sports has chosen Fulham vs United for a 7pm airing.

However, this set-up, which leaves Tottenham's match off-air, is set to change from next season. Under the Premier League's new TV deal, all games not slated for a 3pm kick-off on Saturday will be broadcast live in the UK.

How can supporters tune into Tottenham vs Leicester?

While UK viewers won't be able to watch the match live, international fans can access the game through their local Premier League TV rights holders.

For example, in the United States, NBCUniversal has the broadcasting rights for all 380 Premier League matches this season, allowing American fans to catch the pivotal clash live.

Tottenham boss hits out at trolls as Brennan Johnson reluctantly celebrates after social media storm

Wales and Tottenham Hotspur star Brennan Johnson reluctantly celebrated his 92nd-minute winner against Coventry City last night after having to delete his social media owing to the abuse he was receiving.

In the aftermath of Spurs' 1-0 loss against north London rivals Arsenal last weekend, 23-year-old Johnson reportedly de-activated his Instagram account after receiving waves of abuse on the platform.

Spurs bagged a 2-1 victory away from home against Championship outfit Coventry City on Wednesday, thanks to goals from Djed Spence and Wales ace Johnson.

For the Welshman's goal, Rodrigo Bentancur fed a beautiful pass through to Johnson, who finished sumptuously to the goalkeeper's right. Despite being a moment of elation for Johnson and his team, the forward appeared emotionless and just jogged away.

At the end of the match, Johnson was led by Spurs' main man Son Heung-min towards the travelling fans as the pair clapped the support. Johnson appeared reluctant in doing so and had a seemingly dejected expression on his face. One fan on X even said: "I noticed he turned and walked away pretty much as soon as Son stopped ushering towards the fans."

Speaking ahead of the game, Spurs boss Ange Postecoglu condemned abuse aimed at players and backed his Welsh forward to become a success in north London.

"I hate how we’ve just normalised all that stuff,” Postecoglou said. "I've been around long enough and even when I was playing, I copped a fair bit. But it was usually on the terraces and then the game was over and you’d go home.

"You’re talking about a young guy who is probably lacking a bit of confidence at the moment. Things haven’t gone his way. But he comes here every day, he’s working his backside off, he’s asking for feedback, he’s doing everything right, he’s trying so hard to become the player he wants to be. It’s hurting him a lot.

"It’s not like he’s out on the town and he doesn’t care and he rolls up late. So what’s his crime? His crime is he isn’t performing at the level that people expect of him."

Speaking after the match, Johnson was pleased to get his goal. "It was really nice," he said. "It is a great feeling to score, especially so late on. Getting into the next round is really important and penalties are a toss of a coin, so getting my goal was very beneficial."

Johnson also recognised the challenge that Coventry brought to Spurs. "It was really difficult," he explained. "There wasn't one part of us that underestimated Coventry. We have played them a few times and we know they play good football.

"At times, we let them off too easily and gave them too many chances. We were under some real pressure, but we will always keep going."

Tottenham gazump five Premier League clubs in bid to sign record

Tottenham Hotspur are poised to announce the signing of 16-year-old Glentoran striker George Feeney, having outmanoeuvred other Premier League clubs for his signature.

Feeney made history last October when he became the youngest ever goalscorer for the Northern Irish side. At just 15, he scored a remarkable goal in the second half of Glentoran's BetMcLean Cup first-round victory over Dollingstown.

The young talent has been at the centre of an international dispute between the football associations of Northern Ireland and Wales, both keen to include him in their international pathway. He has represented Northern Ireland at youth level, but most recently turned out for Wales U16s, playing seven games and scoring two goals for them, against Japan and Saudi Arabia, between March and May this year.

Despite his tender age, Feeney was a regular feature in Glentoran's first-team squad last season, impressing with numerous goals for the East Belfast club's reserve team throughout the campaign.

Tottenham managed to fend off interest from Brighton, Brentford, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest to secure the teenager's services, reports Football London.

The deal is expected to include add-ons that will benefit Glentoran in the future. Feeney is set to join the north London club next week and will be announced as part of the new intake of academy scholars, typically revealed to the public in early July each year by the club.

The gifted young striker, who celebrated his 16th birthday in January, hails from a family steeped in international football history. He is the son of ex-Bournemouth, Luton, Cardiff, Swansea and Northern Ireland forward Warren Feeney, who was also his manager at Glentoran.

George's birth in Newport has allowed him to represent both Northern Ireland and Wales at U16 level, as well as the former at U17 level. Both nations are eager to secure the speedy, sharpshooting youngster for their teams.

Should Feeney ascend to senior international status, he would be the fourth generation of his family to achieve this feat, following in the footsteps of his father Warren, grandfather Warren Snr, and great-grandfather Jim.

There appears to be a certain symmetry to the teenager's career trajectory as he is set to join Spurs' successful U18s team, coached by Stuart Lewis, Bradley Allen and Jermain Defoe. Interestingly, Feeney's father Warren played alongside Defoe at Bournemouth in 2001 while on loan from Leeds United.

This was during a season when a young Defoe, himself on loan from West Ham, had already netted in ten consecutive matches, equalling a record. The England international should therefore have plenty of wisdom to share with the younger Feeney as he strives to make his mark on the sport in the coming months and years.
