It's going to be a big campaign for Tottenham Hotspur next season as they look to push on in the Premier League, put in a better showing in the FA Cup and qualify for the Champions League.

In his first year with the Lilywhites, Ange Postecoglou showed that he has what it takes to lead a 'big six' club, although if he wants to achieve all of his goals in North London, he'll need Daniel Levy and Co to support him in the market.

Luckily, it appears that is happening, as the last couple of weeks have seen the club linked with several top-class centre-forwards, with Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke being a particularly strong link.

The Englishman didn't make it into Gareth Southgate's England squad for the Euros, but after an incredible season last year, you can't deny his goalscoring ability.

However, if he does make his way to N17 in the coming weeks, he'll need to hit the ground running to see his value surpass that of another left-footed superstar who just missed out on the Euros this summer.

The latest on Solanke to Spurs

Now, while the Lilywhites have been linked with plenty of other talented number nines in recent days, from Napoli's Victor Osimhen to LOSC Lille's Jonathan David, it does appear that Solanke is currently the one they are most likely to sign.

For example, a report from late last week claimed that the North Londoners were in talks with the Englishman's camp and were 'prepared to test Bournemouth and the player's resolve with a €50m offer', which converts to about £43m.

Another story from the start of this week claimed that the club was set to make an offer to the Cherries that involved one of their own players and a cash sum of £50m.

While there seems to be a consensus that an offer is in the works, the actual price of the former Chelsea prospect is still in the air, especially as other reports have claimed the South Coast club want as much as £60m.

Whatever the final fee Spurs have to pay ends up being, it'll likely be sizeable, and based on the 26-year-old's performances last season, that would be entirely reasonable.

For example, in 42 appearances, he found the back of the net on 21 occasions and provided four assists to boot, equating to an average of a goal involvement every 1.68 games.

However, he'll have to recreate those numbers or do even better in North London if he wants to see his future valuation surpass that of one of his potential new teammates.

James Maddison's valuation in 2024

Yes, the player in question is Tottenham co-vice captain James Maddison.

The former Leicester City star is valued at a whopping €75m by FotMob, which converts to about £65m.

Last season might not have been easy for the 27-year-old, with his exclusion from the England squad leaving him "devastated," but there is no denying his quality.

For example, in 30 appearances for the Lilywhites, he's scored four goals and provided nine assists, which equates to an impressive average of a goal involvement every 2.30 games.

Moreover, his underlying numbers are just as impressive.

FBref, which compares players in similar positions across Europe's top five leagues, places him in the top 1% of attacking midfielders and wingers for shot-creating actions and progressive passes, the top 2% for attempted passes, and the top 7% for assists, all per 90.

Ultimately, Solanke would be an excellent signing for Spurs this summer, and his combination with Maddison, who is justifiably valued so highly, could be the key to the club's future success.

Bid incoming: Spurs target £50m goal machine who'd revive Kulusevski

Description

It's set to be a big campaign for Tottenham Hotspur next season, as Ange Postecoglou has had a year to settle into life in the Premier League, and fans will be looking to him to guide the team back into the Champions League at the second time of asking.

However, to do that, he needs Daniel Levy and Co to do their jobs in the remaining weeks of the summer transfer window, as at the moment, they have not sufficiently improved the Australian's squad.

Fortunately, reports suggest that the club are working hard to bring in the right players, one of whom could be a real game-changer for the club and help bring the best out of some of their players, including Dejan Kulusevski.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer news

According to a recent report from TEAMtalk, Tottenham have intensified their interest in Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke and are ready to make an offer for his services.

The report claims that the Lilywhites are prepared to offer £50m plus a player to help 'sweeten the deal', which could be one of Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilon, Oliver Skipp, Djed Spence or Alejo Veliz.

This is an ambitious move, as previous reports suggested that the Cherries wanted £65m for their star striker and nothing less.

That said, even at this newer price, this transfer would still represent a significant investment from Spurs, but given Solanke's form last season, it is probably worth making, especially as he could help revive some of the club's other attacking players, such as Kulusevski.

Why Solanke would be a great dream for Kulusevski

Now, when it boils down to it, there is one primary reason Solanke could help get the best back out of Kulusevski next season: his output.

Only two Tottenham players, Son Heung-min and Richarlison, scored more than ten goals across all competitions last season, which means that the club's wingers were starved of an effective goalscorer to play off down the middle.

We can see this regarding the Swedish international from Understat's data, as they have him down as underperforming his expected assists figure in the league by a massive 5.62, whereas last season, when Harry Kane was in the team, he overperformed by 1.52.

So, if the Lilywhites could introduce a Premier League-proven out-and-out number nine into the squad, then we could expect to see the former Juventus ace's assist tally start to creep back up, and luckily, in Solanke, they could have exactly that.

For example, in just 42 appearances for the Cherries last season, the "predatory" marksman, as dubbed by former professional Kris Boyd, scored 21 goals and provided four assists, equating to an impressive average of a goal involvement every 1.68 games.

Moreover, this haul saw him finish joint-fourth in the Premier League's top scorer list and would have been enough to make him the Lilywhites' top goalscorer.

Ultimately, Tottenham need a clinical number nine to move up the table next season, and Kulusevski needs one to get on the end of the chances he creates, and while he might not have the reputation of some of the other strikers on the market at the moment, Solanke has proven that he has what it takes to score bags of goals in the Premier League.

Therefore, Levy and Co should do what they can to ensure this deal gets over the line.

Postecoglou driving Tottenham move for "dream" Richarlison replacement

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is personally driving his club's pursuit to sign a "dream" replacement for Richarlison before summer deadline day.

Spurs aim to sell Richarlison and replace him with new striker

Multiple reports from the last week have indicated that Richarlison may not be a Spurs player beyond August 30, which is when the English transfer window will officially close.

According to reliable GiveMeSport reporter Ben Jacobs, Tottenham are determined to sell Richarlison, amid interest from the Saudi Pro League, with fellow respected journalist Fabrizio Romano claiming Spurs are actively looking for a new striker.

After a regrettable debut campaign in north London under ex-boss Antonio Conte, Richarlison bagged 12 goals in all competitions last season, finishing 2023/2024 as their second top scorer behind superstar Son Heung-min.

The 27-year-old, signed from Everton for around £60 million in the summer of 2022, enjoyed a very impressive mid-season purple patch which hugely contributed to his end-of-season haul.

Richarlison racked up nine goals in eight Premier League games from December last year through to February, but despite his flashes of brilliance, Spurs are prepared to offload the South American and bring in a successor.

As the ex-Watford ace's future hangs in the balance, reports have centered around which names could come to Spurs in his stead. These targets would also have the task of replacing Harry Kane, who departed Tottenham for Bayern Munich in a multi-million pound deal last year.

Brentford striker Ivan Toney has been described as keen on a move to Spurs, according to media outlets like talkSPORT, but it is Bournemouth forward Dominic Solanke making more headlines right now.

The former Liverpool striker, who scored 21 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions for Bournemouth last season, is a star player for the Cherries, and it would be a big blow for Andoni Iraola to lose him.

Bournemouth may well be powerless if Spurs or any other club decide to trigger the £65 million release clause in his contract, but some media sources like TEAMtalk believe Tottenham chiefs think that they can do a deal for Solanke at around £60 million.

Postecoglou driving Tottenham move for Solanke

GiveMeSport have an update on the situation this week, and they claim Postecoglou is personally driving Tottenham's move for Solanke, who is believed to be open to this potential transfer.

GMS have different information to previous reports about his price tag, though, as Spurs apparently value Solanke at around £50 million - despite the player hitting double figures last season and still having three more years left on his contract.

The Lilywhites may well find themselves paying a higher fee than £50 million because of this, we believe, but it's clear as day why Tottenham are now very keen on the 26-year-old.

“He’s a dream," said ex-Bournemouth boss Gary O'Neil. "As a center forward, I think sometimes his work can go unnoticed because it's difficult to score goals at this level.

“But I'm so pleased he get his goal because you ask him to press, he presses, you ask him to do stuff in possession. He does it, he literally does everything he can. Probably the hardest working centre-forward I've ever seen."

Talks held: Spurs target "mind-blowing" £25m star who's better than Solanke

Description

It's been an interesting summer for Tottenham Hotspur so far. With four wins out of five in pre-season and the exciting signings of Archie Gray and Yang Min-Hyeok, fans have a lot to be happy about.

Still, with less than two weeks until the Premier League returns and less than a month until the transfer window closes, there is a feeling that Ange Postecoglou's squad has not been adequately reinforced.

That said, the club has been heavily linked to Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke in the last few days, who could be a brilliant addition to the LilyWhites frontline.

However, Daniel Levy and Co must be hard at work as the name of another exciting striker has once again been linked to the North Londoners, and he's probably an upgrade on the Englishman.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer news

According to a recent report from Caught Offside, Tottenham have maintained their interest in LOSC Lille striker Jonathan David.

In fact, the report claims that things have progressed beyond simple interest, as it has revealed that the North Londoners have 'recently held talks with contacts close to the Ligue 1 ace'.

The story does not mention a potential price, but a report from Football Insider last month revealed that he could be available for as little as £25m, mostly due to his £27k-per-week contract expiring next summer.

It's still a sizable fee, but considering Solanke could cost up to £65m and the pair's form over the last couple of seasons, signing David would make far more sense.

How David compares to Solanke

Now, when it comes down to it, the most critical metric for any striker is their raw output, so if Spurs are considering both of these stars, who comes out on top in this regard?

In his 42 appearances for Bournemouth last season, Solanke scored 21 goals and provided four assists, maintaining an impressive average of a goal involvement every 1.68 games for the Cherries.

However, in his 47 appearances for Lille last season, David scored 26 goals and provided nine assists, meaning he maintained an even more impressive average of a goal involvement every 1.34 games for Les Dogues.

Unfortunately for the former Chelsea man, he still comes out as a clear second-best, even in the season prior, with seven goals and seven assists in 35 appearances, equating to a goal involvement every 2.5 games.

In contrast, the "mind-blowing" 24-year-old, as dubbed by talent scout Jacek Kulig, scored 26 goals and provided four assists in 40 appearances, meaning he averaged a goal involvement every 1.33 games.

It's not just in raw output that the Brooklyn-born poacher comes out on top, but also their underlying numbers.

For example, in practically every relevant metric, the former Gent ace ranks far better, including non-penalty expected goals plus assists, actual non-penalty goals plus assists, progressive passes and carries, shots on target, passing accuracy, shot and goal-creating actions, and key passes, all per 90.

In his defence, the former Liverpool forward does come out on top for shots and aerial duels won per 90, but that really is about it.

Ultimately, while Solanke wouldn't be a terrible signing, he's notably worse than David in both their output and underlying numbers. Therefore, Levy and Co should do what they can to sign the Canadian this summer, especially as he could be available for less than half the price of the Bournemouth man.

Sky pundit thrilled as Tottenham offered "statement signing" with Solanke

A Sky Sports pundit has been left thrilled by reports that Tottenham could make a "real statement signing", alongside their chase for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

Tottenham target new striker and winger before deadline day

Last week, reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano shared news that Spurs are in the market for a new striker, and potentially a new winger, depending on the opportunities available in the coming weeks.

Romano also broke the news that Tottenham are exploring a move to sign Solanke from Bournemouth as an option to replace Harry Kane, and maybe Richarlison, with the Brazil international up for sale amid interest from Saudi Arabia.

Spurs are apparently determined to sell Richarlison this summer as manager Ange Postecoglou continues to rebuild the squad, according to GiveMeSport, who also claim that Ivan Toney is another striking option for the recruitment team.

Rumours surrounding a move for Solanke are starting to heat up, though, coming after the Englishman bagged 21 goals across 42 appearances in all competitions last season.

TEAMtalk reported last week that Solanke wants to join Tottenham this summer, and the Lilywhites have held talks with his representatives. The outlet also stated that Tottenham believe they can sign the former Liverpool prodigy for £5 million less than his £65 million release clause, which would still be a costly operation.

Chairman Daniel Levy, technical director Johan Lange and the wider recruitment team may need to weigh up their most astute possible options for out-wide if they do press ahead with a move for Solanke, and one name who's repeatedly linked is Juventus star Federico Chiesa.

The Italian, who's entered the final 12 months of his deal, could be available for as little as £21.5-25.8 million (TMW). Tottenham have been offered Chiesa by his agents, who've reached out for talks with multiple Premier League clubs.

Indeed, Spurs have apparently been speaking with his camp over a potential move, according to reports in Italy, which also suggest that Tottenham are favourites to sign Chiesa this summer as well.

Paul Robinson thrilled as Spurs eye "statement" Chiesa signing

Speaking to Tottenham News, Sky pundit and ex-Tottenham keeper Paul Robinson says Chiesa would be a "real statement signing" for Spurs - urging Levy and co to sign the 26-year-old.

“If Daniel Levy can bring a player like that into the squad, it would be incredible. It would be a real statement signing. Chiesa is still only 26 years old. Look at what he did for Italy at the Euros," said Robinson.

“He’s not a prolific goalscorer but, with his creativity in the final third, if you have the opportunity pick up a player like that from Juventus for £25million, you go into the market and try to get him.

“He’s a top-quality forward and he’d be an incredible signing for Tottenham. I also think he’d relish the challenge of the Premier League at this stage in his career, as it would bring him to another level."

Offer ready: Spurs hold talks over £43m poacher who'd make Son unplayable

Aside from the defeat to Bayern Munich on Saturday, pre-season has been relatively successful for Tottenham Hotspur thus far.

They might not be the most formidable opposition, but wins over Hearts, Queens Park Rangers, Vissel Kobe and the K-League XI have given fans a glimpse into how Ange Postecoglou's side might approach next season.

However, with less than a month remaining in the transfer window, Daniel Levy and Co must ramp up their work in the market and bring the Australian manager the right players to help him succeed in North London.

Fortunately, that appears to be happening, as the latest star touted for a move to N17 would be a real level-raiser and the perfect teammate for Son Heung-min.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer news

According to a recent report from Caught Offside, Tottenham have maintained their interest in Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke and held discussions with his entourage to glean more information about a potential transfer.

The report claims that the Lilywhites are 'prepared to test Bournemouth and the player's resolve' with an offer in the region of €50m, which converts to about £43m.

It's claimed in the story that the Englishman would be open to a move 'provided he receives a good offer', although with Arsenal and Liverpool supposedly interested as well, Levy and Co might want to get a move on should they wish to secure his services.

Solanke might not be the most exciting striker around at present, but he proved his talent last season, and under Postecoglou, he could be unreal alongside Son.

Why Solanke would be Son's dream teammate

Okay, so while there could be any number of reasons why Solanke would be a great teammate for Son, from his personality to the way he conducts himself in training, there is really only one that matters, one that overrides all other reasons for someone in his position: his output.

When it truly comes down to it, the attribute the Lilywhites captain probably wants most in the number nine to his right is clinical finishing, someone he can rely upon to bury the chances he works hard to create out wide or in midfield. With the Cherries ace, that's what he'd have.

For example, in just 42 appearances for the South Coast outfit last season, the "outstanding" centre-forward, as Paul Merson dubbed him, scored 21 goals and provided four assists, meaning he averaged a goal involvement once every 1.68 games.

Impressively, his 19 Premier League goals were enough to see him come joint fourth in the top goalscorers list, alongside some of the biggest stars of the season, such as Phil Foden and Ollie Watkins.

Moreover, the Englishman's incredible haul of 24 goals and assists would have comfortably made him the top goalscorer in the Spurs squad last season and the second most productive player behind only the South Korean star.

Lastly, you only need to look at Understat's conclusion that Son underperformed his expected goals in the league last season by 3.34 to see that he needs a reliable striker next to him. In the former Chelsea gem, he'd have precisely that, and this time next year, we'd wager that Understat would have him much closer to his expected assist number, if not slightly over it.

Spurs could 'accelerate' move for amazing £60m Werner upgrade

There is less than a month until the transfer window slams shut for Premier League clubs, and as things stand, Tottenham Hotspur haven't done enough business.

The signings of Archie Gray and Yang Min-Hyeok are certainly exciting and show the club is thinking long-term, but with the renewal of Timo Werner's loan move the only other significant incoming thus far, the needle hasn't really moved regarding the first team.

Fortunately for Ange Postecoglou, Daniel Levy and Co appear to be working to bring in some level-raising players.

Based on recent reports, the latest star touted for a move to N17 could be the perfect Werner upgrade.

Tottenham Hotspur transfer news

According to a recent report from transfers expert Fabrizio Romano via his show on Playback, Tottenham have maintained their interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers star Pedro Neto.

The Italian journalist claimed that the winger is "a player really appreciated and very highly rated by Tottenham" and that he is waiting to see "if they will decide to accelerate" in their pursuit of him.

However, it could be an expensive deal to complete for the North Londoners as, according to a separate report last week, the Old Gold value the Portuguese international at £60m.

That said, while securing Neto's services would cost a pretty penny, his ability may well justify the price, especially as he would be an instant upgrade on Werner.

How Neto compares to Werner

So, if Spurs can get their hands on Neto this summer and see him as a potential long-term upgrade for Werner on the left, where he has started 44 games before, how does he compare to the German?

Well, from an output perspective, it is an easy win for the Old Gold star. In 24 appearances last season, he scored three goals and provided 11 assists, equating to an impressive average of a goal involvement every 1.71 games.

In contrast, the former Chelsea ace scored two goals and provided three assists in 14 appearances for the Lilywhites, equating to an average of a goal involvement every 2.8 games. When you include his 14 appearances, two goals, and one assist from his time with RB Leipzig, that average falls to a goal involvement every 3.5 games.

Okay, so how about their underlying numbers? Is it another easy win for the former Lazio winger there as well?

Indeed, it is, as in most relevant metrics, the 24-year-old "beast", as former teammate Diogo Jota dubbed him, comes out on top, including actual non-penalty goals plus assists, key passes, passes into the final third, passes and crosses into the penalty area, carries into the final third, shot and goal-creating actions, successful take-ons, ball recoveries and even aerial duels won, all per 90.

In his defence, the German international does come out on top in a few metrics, such as non-penalty expected goals plus assists, progressive passes and carries, shots and passing accuracy per 90, but that is about it.

Now, the one issue with signing the Wolves star is his injury record - he missed 23 games last season - but with the number of wingers already on the books at Tottenham, Postecoglou would have the luxury of resting the talented dynamo when he's not needed, which should hopefully keep him fresh and ready for the big games.

Ultimately, if Spurs want to reach another level next season, they need to improve their first team in the remaining weeks of the window, and while he's a pricey option, adding Neto into the mix might be just what the team needs to secure Champions League football come May.

New target: Tottenham scouts think they've found a future star in £8.5m gem

Tottenham have turned their attentions to a new target this summer as they look to strengthen Ange Postecoglou's ranks ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League campaign, according to reports.

Tottenham transfer news

Ahead of the transfer deadline on August 30th, Tottenham still have plenty of work to do on the transfer front. They have signed Timo Werner on loan and Archie Gray from Leeds United so far, but are still looking somewhat lightweight.

First and foremost, a striker is on their wishlist amid interest in Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke, with Postecoglou admitting that the no.9 spot was his main focus at the moment.

"I think for us what's more important is the type of striker we get. You know we play a certain way. We demand certain things from a physical perspective from the technical aspects of it that it's going be a striker that fits that mould," the Spurs boss revealed.

"It's still the area of the park we're really probably the thinnest when I talk about squad-wise at the moment, so obviously that's a focus for us."

They are also set to push for another defender should Emerson Royal depart amid interest from AC Milan, with talks thought to be advanced for the Brazilian to move to San Siro after two tough seasons with Tottenham.

With Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg having departed for Marseille already this summer, the midfield looks light for the Lilywhites too despite the arrival of Gray, and there had previously been interest in Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, though he now appears set for Atletico Madrid instead. Now, they could have identified a budget-friendly alternative.

Tottenham chase "unique" midfielder

That comes as recent reports have linked Tottenham with a move for Stade Reims midfielder Amir Richardson, who is currently starring with Morocco at the Olympic games. The 22-year-old has featured in all four of his side's Olympic outings, scoring in the win over Iran and helping his side make history in reaching the semi-finals of the competition.

He has been described as a "unique" midfielder by senior football journalist Bence Bocsak on X, who added that he drive forwards with the ball "really well".

“Amir Richardson – he’s already won the U23 AFCON with Morocco last year. Such a unique profile in terms of a midfielder – extremely tall at 1.95 metres and springy – he defends and goes forward with the ball really well. So good on the ball. Just 21 years old.”

Now 22, the midfielder struggled for game time with Reims but has impressed the Tottenham scouts, with TeamTALK reporting that "Spurs scouts believe the France-born youngster has a bright future ahead of him".

As a result, it is added that Spurs are "aiming to win the race for his services", with previous interest from fellow Premier League clubs having been met with a €10m (£8.5m) price tag.

That could have increased after an impressive showing at the Olympics, but he could well prove an excellent investment for the future nonetheless given the ability Richardson threatens to possess.

Spurs exploring deal to immediately replace £2m-a-year first team player

Tottenham are exploring a deal to replace one member of their first team in the coming days, it has been reported.

Spurs face slow summer

After their fifth placed Premier League finish in Ange Postecoglou's first season in charge, business has been slow in both directions in north London. Archie Gray and Timo Werner (on loan) remain the only senior additions to the side so far, despite the new season kicking off in just 10 days time.

On the flip side, though eight players have left, they have only received fees for Joe Rodon and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer so far. Now, they are looking to ramp up their business in the coming weeks, and are already searching for replacements for one man.

Tottenham set to sell defender

That comes as transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that negotiations with AC Milan over a move for Tottenham defender Emerson Royal is "at the final stages", with both sides keen to get it "done in the next days" and a fee of £13m plus add ons being mooted.

The full back was signed on transfer deadline day two years ago in a deal worth 30m euros (£25m), with the Brazilian penning a £40,000 a week (£2m a year) deal in north London.

However, he has struggled to nail down a first team spot following the arrival of Pedro Porro, who appears Ange Postecoglou's clear first choice, and as a result the Brazilian has opted to depart the club.

With Spurs now ready to sell him in a deal worth a reported 15m euros (£13m) plus add ons, they are set to make a significant loss (£10m+) on the fullback, though for accounting purposes they will make a profit on the 25-year-old.

Emerson has made no secret of his desire to leave this summer amid long-term interest from Milan, explaining: “AC Milan? It’s a reference point for all Brazilians. I want to play on a regular basis. I don’t want to sit on the bench.”

In anticipation of his departure, Romano adds that Tottenham have already "started exploring" deals for a new right back this summer and will be working on exactly that this week, with Fiorentina's Michael Kayode among those having been linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It is not just at right back that things might be set to heat up for the Lilywhites, with Romano also moving to ease the fears of fans who feel that business has been slow in North London to date.

Discussing Wolves winger Pedro Neto specifically, Romano explained: "He is one of the players they’ve always had on the list. Let’s see if they will decide to accelerate, but I expect Tottenham to be busy starting from next week.”

They remain on the hunt for a striker as well as at least one full back and another winger before the window closes on August 30th.

Better than Chiesa & Neto: Spurs could sign £60m PL star

One of the biggest priorities at the moment for Tottenham is recruiting a new striker, someone capable of making up for the departure of Harry Kane a year ago. Yeah, no pressure.

Two of the names on supporters' lips at the moment are Bournemouth taliman Dominic Solanke and Napoli superstar Victor Osimhen.

That said, a winger could also be on the agenda for Ange Postecoglou and Co.

Tottenham's hunt for a new winger

One of the fiercest rumours in recent weeks has been to Italy international Federico Chiesa. The Juventus star was actually left out of the Turin outfit's squad over the week, fueling further speculation that he'll be on his way out in the forthcoming weeks.

However, it's unlikely to be to Tottenham. Journalist Tom Barclay confirmed a few days ago that the Italian is not a target for Spurs this summer.

A more concrete option could be Wolves' Pedro Neto. That's according to recent reports from Caught Offside this weekend who suggest that Arsenal and their north London rivals are going head to head to sign the £60m talent.

Another name who has been hotly tipped to move this summer is Eberechi Eze. Older reports suggests Spurs are in the hunt for him too.

How Eze compares to Chiesa and Neto

Valued at £60m, the idea of signing Eze for those at Spurs should be greatly appealing. After all, this is one of England's and the Premier League's most exciting talents.

Last season, the 26-year-old scored 11 goals and supplied six assists in all competitions on his way to being hailed as an "unbelievable" player by pundit Danny Murphy.

How do those base stats compare to Neto and Chiesa? Well, pretty well it turns out.

So, Eze is clearly the more clinical of the three in front of goal but Neto is a far more creative outlet. Vitally, the former stays fit on a far more regular basis though. The Wolves star missed a lot of football last term - 23 games in fact. The Crystal Palace man? He was only absent for five games with one muscle injury at the turn of the year.

What do the deeper numbers suggest about the trio? Let's take a look.

So, it's a very resounding win in most areas for the Eagles talisman, Eze. The England international scores more regularly, is more accurate with his passing and even more impressively on top of that is more of his passes are progressive in nature. He's even a dazzling dribbler, completing far more take-ons.

A pass is considered progressive if the distance between the starting point and the next touch is at least 10 meters closer to the opponent's goal or any completed pass into the penalty area.

Neto is the better progressive carrier of the ball and supplies far more assists but considering Eze is reportedly available at the same price tag, there is only really one winner here.

If Johan Lange and Co can find a way to get a deal done then it would be a superb acquisition for Spurs.
