Brennan Johnson netted twice as Tottenham Hotspur extended their resurgence with a commanding 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

The hosts applied significant early pressure, with Liam Delap threatening to score a hat-trick within the first six minutes of an intense start.

However, Spurs weathered the storm and seized control, capitalizing on their opportunities to establish a two-goal lead midway through the first half.

Son Heung-Min played a pivotal role, assisting both of Johnson’s goals.

The first was a simple tap-in from close range, while the second showcased Johnson’s composure as he dispatched a precise finish past Ipswich goalkeeper Alex Palmer, momentarily silencing the home crowd.

Ipswich, in search of only their second home league win of the season, responded through Omari Hutchinson, who fired an exceptional strike past Guglielmo Vicario after receiving a well-placed pass from Jack Clarke.

The home side believed they had equalized when Luke Woolfenden headed in at the back post following a free-kick, but the effort was ruled out for offside.

Despite continued pressure from Kieran McKenna’s men, Spurs secured the result with two late goals.

Djed Spence extended the lead in the 77th minute, his shot taking a deflection off Woolfenden before finding the net.

Dejan Kulusevski sealed the victory six minutes from time, finishing a swift counterattack with a low, curling effort off the post.

The win propelled Tottenham to 12th in the Premier League table, marking their third consecutive league victory— a feat they had not achieved since December 2023.

Meanwhile, Ipswich’s struggles continued, as they remained in the relegation zone, five points from safety, with their winless run stretching to seven matches.
