Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has just not got going at N17. The Brazil international arrived from Everton with high hopes in 2022, but he has failed to make any sort of impact at Spurs. After a successful stint at Goodison Park for the Toffees, the Lilywhites felt it was only right to bring the 27-year-old to North London and make him compete for a spot in the starting eleven.

But numerous injuries and a lack of confidence have halted his progress at Spurs. The forward has fallen down the pecking order under Ange Postecoglou and has also struggled to get game time this season for the North London club. As per Sofascore, Richarlison has managed to score five goals and provide one assist in 18 games. It has not been an impressive campaign by any means for the Brazilian forward.

It is looking increasingly likely that Richarlison will head for pastures new in the summer. The Lilywhites are preparing for a massive summer overhaul, and it will not be a surprise if the club decides to cash in on underperforming players. Spurs are also willing to let Cristian Romero and James Maddison go in the summer and allow fresh faces to join the squad for next season.

Richarlison heading for Tottenham exit with Everton lurking

Tottenham need to bring in the right players in the summer. To do that, the club needs to sell some of its underperforming players as soon as the season ends. The Lilywhites have endured a disastrous campaign, and the only way to fix that is to get in new players and bolster the quality of the squad. This will give Spurs a chance to compete for titles next season.

According to GiveMeSport, Richarlison is linked with a move to Everton. The Brazil international is deemed surplus to requirements at N17, and it is believed that David Moyes wants to bring the 27-year-old to Goodison Park as soon as the transfer window opens. The Tottenham No.9 is also open to a move as he wants to stay in the Premier League and play regularly.

Everton are looking to replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin for next season. The Toffees are willing to offer Tottenham around £30m for Richarlison’s services. However, it is suggested that Spurs are not under immediate pressure to sell the ex-Watford striker and will only consider selling him if the right offer arrives. Richarlison still has two years remaining in his contract, so the Lilywhites are not in a hurry to cash in on the forward.

Daniel Levy must play his cards in the upcoming transfer window. It is clear to see that the club is lagging in all departments, and the Spurs chairman needs to address this as soon as the campaign ends. Ange Postecoglou’s future also remains uncertain, and the Lilywhites will have sort that out quickly before proceeding with other deals.
