Tottenham winger Bryan Gil has more or less confirmed what many suspected, revealing that his time in North London is drawing to a close as both he and the club prepare to part ways this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be busy in the upcoming transfer window, with multiple exits on the cards as part of a squad reshuffle ahead of next season.
While no sales have been confirmed yet, we believe that up to ten players could be on their way out of Spurs this summer.
In fact, if Tottenham play their cards right, they could be looking at a potential £150 million windfall from departures alone, which would give them serious leverage heading into the market.
One of the more likely exits is that of Bryan Gil. The Spanish winger is currently out on loan at Girona, where he has shown flashes of his quality despite his season being disrupted by injury.
Girona are reportedly keen to keep Gil, and there’s a growing sense that a permanent move could be on the table.
Bryan Gil confirms Tottenham exit ahead of summer transfer window
Speaking ahead of the summer window that opens earlier than usual, Bryan Gil has essentially confirmed that he’ll be leaving Spurs at the end of the season, saying the decision to move on was mutual.

Talking to Spanish channel ‘El After de Post United’, as relayed by Estadio Deportivo, Gil was candid about his future, making it clear that his Spurs chapter is nearing its end.
He said, “I haven’t given it much thought because I’m focused on recovering as best as possible and being back.
“That’s something my agent will tell me where things are going, but they told me, and I told them, that the best thing is for us not to continue being linked to Tottenham, but there’s no problem or bad feeling, quite the opposite”
He went on to express gratitude for his time at the club, saying: “They bet on me when I was young, and they’ve treated me fairly well, but if I have to go back there, I’ll focus on giving my best as always.
“I’m calm because no one can have a bad word to say about me not being professional, without playing. I’ve always trained well, I’ve done what I had to do, so whatever has to happen, will happen. We’ll see where we are next year.”
Girona, Manor Solomon and the wider loan picture at Spurs
Girona reportedly have a €15m (£12.9m) purchase option for Gil, which they can trigger before the end of June, but there’s a belief that with only a year left on the winger’s deal, a lower fee could be negotiated instead.
Of course, Gil is not the only loanee who could move on permanently this summer either. Manor Solomon could also be on his way out of Spurs, especially now that Leeds United have sealed promotion back to the Premier League.
There’s already speculation that the Yorkshire side are considering a move for the Israeli winger, and if the interest is serious, Spurs could be open to cashing in.
