Harry Kane was asked to name the person who has been the biggest influence on his career, and the player he named might leave many Tottenham fans surprised.
Kane will undoubtedly go down as one of the best players in the modern era and the striker is certainly far from done as he is continuing to bang in the goals with regularity at the highest level.
One only has to see how far Tottenham Hotspur have fallen this season to see how important the centre-forward was for the Lilywhites over the best part of the last decade.
Tottenham have a first refusal on Kane and Spurs fans will be hoping that their record goalscorer comes back home in the future to see off his career at N17.
Harry Kane names former Tottenham midfielder as his biggest inspiration
Kane has played with several world-class players at Tottenham and England, he also saw the likes of Luka Modric, Ledley King and Robbie Keane in close proximity while he was coming through the ranks of the Spurs academy.
However, the 32-year-old named Scott Parker as his biggest inspiration, revealing how the former Tottenham midfielder influenced him during his younger years.
When asked which player had the biggest impact on his career, Kane told ESPN FC: “Scott Parker at Spurs. He was everything you want in a footballer and a teammate. Every training session he was always 120%, doing stuff after training in the gym.

There was a time when I was doing my rehab at a similar time to him, when I was about 19, and just talking to him and seeing the way he worked and the way he thought about football really inspired me to have the same sort of work ethic. I’d say he was important to me at that age.”
Scott Parker could be back in a Tottenham tracksuit soon
The Burnley head coach did not just have two excellent seasons at White Hart Lane as a player, but he also began his coaching career in the Hotspur Way academy.
It was reported last week that Parker is being considered by Tottenham as a potential Ange Postecoglou replacement this summer.
The report claimed that the 44-year-old still remains a highly respected figure at the North London club, and given what Kane has said about his professionalism, it is easy to see why.
