Pep Guardiola is hopeful Erling Haaland will be fit to face us in the Premier League at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday evening (7.30pm UK) - it looks like a late decision for the City boss on the striker's availability.

Haaland, 19 goals in the Premier League this term, hasn't featured in City's last two matches at Real Madrid last week, where he remained an unused substitute, and against Liverpool on Sunday, when he didn't make it into the matchday squad.

Asked in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday about Haaland's fitness, Guardiola said: "Tonight, we will know it after training. I hope so but I don’t know yet. He feels better but the last two games he could not play. We’ll see tomorrow."

City suffered two injury blows in Madrid last week as Manuel Akanji and John Stones were forced off. City have already reported that Akanji faces eight to 10 weeks on the sidelines, while Guardiola suggested ahead of last weekend that Stones may need surgery. Oscar Bobb has yet to return from a broken leg suffered in pre-season and Rodri isn't expected to feature again this season after suffering a serious knee injury in September.
