The criticism aimed at Ange Postecoglou by some Tottenham fans stems from "frustration" that "it feels so obvious" he needs to adopt a more pragmatic style, according to TNT Sports expert Peter Crouch.
Postecoglou’s all-in approach has been a big talking point in recent weeks after they scored 13 and conceded eight goals in their last four games in all competitions.
Next up for Spurs is a daunting trip to Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday, and ahead of the game his opposing manager Arne Slot said he hopes Postecoglou "wins a trophy" as a reward for his "brand of football."

Former Tottenham striker Crouch explained why there has been a degree of scepticism about the attacking style used by the manager despite Slot's positivity.
"With regards to Ange, I love the football they play, absolutely love it," Crouch said.
"Sometimes you think when you go two or three up, Villa did it today [against Manchester City] to some degree, there has to be an element of control.
"It feels like it’s so obvious, that you want to get people behind the ball, take the sting out of the game a little bit, and they just don’t do it. They just go for another one and another one.
"That’s the frustration with Tottenham fans. It feels like it’s clear that you need to do something different, but he just continues to play the way he does. It’s great for the neutral."
Spurs 'need to win a trophy'
Spurs have had a disappointing Premier League campaign so far and go into Sunday’s clash with Liverpool in 11th place, 13 points behind the leaders.
However, they remain in the fight in all competitions after sealing a Carabao Cup semi-final against The Reds on Thursday with a 4-3 win over Manchester United, and with a UEFA Europa League last-16 spot still up for grabs.
Tottenham have not won any silverware since the 2007/08 League Cup, and Crouch hopes Postecoglou can be the man to end the barren run.
"They need to win a trophy just because it’s been so long," he said.
"It’s a stick for everyone else to beat Tottenham with. You just want to get that out the way."

Joleon Lescott was asked if he believes it would be good for Postecoglou’s attacking style to be rewarded with silverware this season.
"It would, because he seems like a charismatic personality and the players have bought into what he’s brought to Spurs," Lescott said.
"But is it more important for them than it is for Aston Villa or Newcastle? I’m sure there are multiple fans who think their club deserve to win a trophy."
