Tottenham Hotspur fans have named six players they want new contracts for after reports of Rodrigo Bentancur contract talks emerge.

Just yesterday, it was revealed that Tottenham Hotspur have opened discussions over a new contract for Rodrigo Bentancur.

Despite negotiations still being in their early stages, reports indicate that Tottenham are keen to secure the 27-year-old on a long-term deal.

With Bentancur’s current contract set to expire in 2026, the Lilywhites clearly see the midfielder as a key figure in Ange Postecoglou’s squad and do not want to risk losing him.

Following the news of Bentancur’s contract renewal, we at SpursWeb took to X to ask fans which other players they would like to see tied down to new deals. Spurs supporters did not hold back, making their opinions known.

FloridaSpur made his stance clear: “Romero before anyone.” Another fan, Jennan Bronson, kept it simple: “Son.”

Hot4Spurs outlined his ideal approach: “Mikey Moore when he turns 18 this summer. Then Romero. Activate the one-year extensions for Son and Davies. That is it.”

Another fan, Bryan, added: “Deki, Moore (to keep him longer) and unpopular opinion: Son (our best player bar Deki) (although off form).” Ñåthåñ also weighed in, saying: “Kulu and Romero.”

It is evident that supporters want to see the likes of Cristian Romero, Heung-min Son, Ben Davies, Mikey Moore, and Dejan Kulusevski remain at the club. Given their quality and importance to the squad, it is hardly surprising.

How long do these players have left on their contracts?

Of the aforementioned players, Davies has his current contract set to expire this summer. Meanwhile, Heung-min Son remains contracted until 2026 after Spurs recently activated the additional one-year clause in Son’s contract.

Cristian Romero and Mikey Moore, still have a few more years left in their contracts, as their current deal is set to expire in 2027 respectively.

Of course, Dejan Kulusevski’s current deal runs all the way to 2028. However, given his impact this season, the club would want to consider extending his contract even further to tie him down at Tottenham.
