Tottenham Hotspur ideally want to sign an attacker who can play across the front line as the January window draws to a close on transfer deadline day.

Mathys Tel reportedly turned down Spurs over the weekend after choosing Manchester United instead. Arsenal are also said to be in talks with Bayern Munich, while Chelsea were interested, but doing a deal became too complicated for the Blues. Aston Villa were even said to be keen at one stage but have now signed Marcus Rashford on loan.

Therefore, Tel appears likely to stay at Bayern or move elsewhere over joining Tottenham, meaning the club must now turn to another alternative after already missing out on Randal Kolo Muani to Juventus. football.london looks at six other attacking players Spurs could sign.

Alejandro Garnacho

football.london understands Chelsea remain interested in Alejandro Garnacho. However, Tottenham have reputedly enquired about signing the Man United winger but that has since been suggested to be wide of the mark.

James McAtee

The Manchester City player is another option Spurs are said to have enquired about, according to TBR Football. Bayer Leverkusen have reputedly approached them about taking James McAtee on loan.

Joao Felix

football.london understands Aston Villa are interested in Joao Felix, with Unai Emery considered a massive admirer of the player. However, Tottenham have been credited with an interest in the forward by The Telegraph.

Jonathan David

Spurs have shown interest in the striker, who has just six months remaining on his contract with Lille. They are far from the only Premier League club credited with an interest in the Canada international, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United and Newcastle United previously linked.

Leon Bailey

Villa signing Donyell Malen and Rashford while also making a move for Marco Asensio has seemingly led Spurs to make a move for Leon Bailey. Fabrizio Romano claims Man United have also called about the Jamaica international. However, the West Midlands club do not appear open to a move, but that could conceivably change should Asensio arrive.

Tyler Dibling

The Southampton teenager is someone Spurs are credited with an interest in after an impressive start to the season.

Saints, however, reportedly value Tyler Dibling at around £75million and appear unlikely to sell at this stage.
