As per The Sun’s Tom Barclay, the Lilywhites could welcome back the Italian full-back for their upcoming clash against Manchester United in the league. The 22-year-old has been out of action since he sustained a hamstring injury towards the end of December 2024 during the 2-2 draw against Wolves in the Premier League

The player could finally be available for selection and is in line to play a part against the Red Devils in the next game. This will be an important clash for Postecoglou after seeing pressure mount on his future as Tottenham Hotspur boss following their recent eliminations from the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. The Lilywhites are also stuck in 14th place in the Premier League, having won just one of their last eight games in the competition and need to defeat the Red Devils to take away some pressure from the coach.
How Can Udogie’s Return Help Spurs?
The Tottenham boss pointed at his side’s injury crisis and the absence of key players like Udogie for his side’s poor form in recent months, claiming after the Aston Villa match: “(Guglielmo) Vicario, (Cristian) Romero, Destiny, (Micky) Van de Ven, (Dominic) Solanke, (Wilson) Odobert… I could go on and on. We had 10 senior players missing. If you take seven or eight key players from any team and you’re playing the best team in the league at the best, I don’t think you make judgements in these moments.”
