Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are a lot closer to each other in the table than many people would’ve expected at the start of the season.

Spurs have had a really poor campaign in the Premier League. They have won just 10 of their first 26 games and are currently 13th in the table, a place and two points above Everton.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have won three games on the bounce now, and with their injured players coming back, they are hoping to finish the season strongly.

Irrespective of what happens, Tottenham will need a very good summer transfer window. Reinforcements in multiple areas of their pitch are a necessity.

Now, an Everton player has been linked with a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham eye move for Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite but two other rivals want him too

Jarrad Branthwaite has made a terrific name for himself in the Premier League.

The Englishman, still only 22 years old, has been amazing for Everton since the start of last season. He has been one of their best players and has attracted a ton of interest.

Manchester United tried really hard to sign Branthwaite last summer. They were desperate to get him, but they just couldn’t meet Everton’s demands.

CaughtOffside have claimed now that United remain interested in signing Branthwaite and are expected to try their luck again this summer.

But, they will not be the only interested party.

The report reveals that both Tottenham and Liverpool are expected to battle it out for Branthwaite’s signature before the start of next season.

Spurs were linked with Branthwaite last summer as well and they know how good he is. The 22-year-old has even scored against them in the Premier League.

Branthwaite’s current contract at Everton does not expire until the summer of 2027, but the Toffees have an option to extend that by another year.

Everton’s stance on selling Branthwaite this summer

Everton will begin a new era next season as they move to the Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium.

Toffees fans are hoping to see their club reach the next level once they move to their new home, and we’re sure David Moyes has some ambitious plans as well.

To achieve them, Everton will have to keep their best players, and Branthwaite is definitely one of them.

That is why the Merseysiders are planning to offer a new contract to the ‘incredible‘ defender, one which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2030.

It remains to be seen if Branthwaite would be open to extending his stay at Everton until then.
