Chelsea could be about to receive a massive boost in their bid to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi this summer.

The 24-year-old is one centre-back Chelsea are thought to be interested in ahead of the next transfer window.

He is valued very highly at Selhurst Park, but with his contract set to expire in 2026, Chelsea are hoping to sign Guehi from Palace this summer.

They are not the only ones interested in him, though, with other clubs from the Premier League also thought to be keen.

Marc Guehi wants to leave Crystal Palace

A return to Chelsea would see Guehi link up with Levi Colwill, a player he is a huge fan of.

When Guehi discussed Colwill last month, he said: “I’ve known him and been around him. I know what he’s capable of. Honestly the sky’s the limit for him.”

Guehi looks keen to leave Selhurst Park at the end of the season, so a transfer to Chelsea certainly seems possible.

According to CaughtOffside, the England international is ready to tell Palace that he wants a move away from the club this summer.

The same outlet also claims that as well as Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Newcastle United and Liverpool are all interested in Guehi, too.

It means there could be a real scrap for his signature once the transfer window opens. The Blues do have other options if they miss out on their former player, though.

It is believed that Chelsea are also interested in Ousmane Diomande of Sporting Lisbon.

Chelsea could sign Marc Guehi and Benjamin Sesko ahead of Tottenham

If it comes down to choosing between the two, there is a belief that Guehi would pick Chelsea over their London rivals.

Something similar could also happen with RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. Chelsea and Tottenham have been linked with £66m-rated Sesko, but Spurs are said to have “little chance” of signing him.

Sitting 13th in the Premier League table with just 34 points, Tottenham probably need Guehi and Sesko more than their London rivals.

However, it looks like Chelsea have a better chance of signing both players compared to Spurs.
