Tottenham have ‘little chance’ of beating Chelsea to £66m signing – it’s not Marc Guehi

There is one transfer battle that Tottenham Hotspur will not be winning against Chelsea this summer.
Tottenham and Chelsea could both enter the market for a new striker, with the latter almost certain to.
Enzo Maresca has not had too much cover for Nicolas Jackson this season, with Christopher Nkunku not a recognised centre-forward, while Marc Guiu is still only 19 years of age. The former Barcelona player is also currently out injured.
Chelsea continue to be linked with Liam Delap, who could help them with their striker issue, but he is not the only No.9 on their radar.
Tottenham and Chelsea interested in RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko
Benjamin Sesko, who scored his 100th career goal last month, is also a target for Chelsea.
The Blues could face competition from Tottenham and some other Premier League clubs for his signature, but it looks like they do not have to worry about their London rivals.
According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Spurs have “little chance” of winning the race for the RB Leipzig star, who has caught the attention of Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
Regarding how much he could cost, Plettenberg claims that Sesko has a release clause in his contract that could rise to €80m (£66.4m) by the end of the season.

The 21-year-old has been in good form for Leipzig this term, scoring 17 goals in 34 appearances across all competitions.
United gave Christopher Vivell a full-time role at the club recently, a director who knows Sesko very well. Therefore, it would not be a surprise to see the Red Devils go all out for him in the next transfer window.
Chelsea could also beat Tottenham to Marc Guehi signing
As well as Sesko, the Blues could also beat their London rivals to the signing of Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace.
Again, both clubs are thought to be interested in the England international. However, Chelsea believe Guehi will select them over Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Chelsea are currently 13 points above Tottenham in the Premier League table. That gap could increase next season if the Blues end up with both Sesko and Guehi.
