Journalist Kostas Lianos reports that the Lilywhites aim to finalise Doue’s signing as soon as next week.

According to him, the player is a ‘top priority’ for Tottenham who want to sign him by ‘next week’.

However, Spurs faces stiff competition from top clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain, all vying for the 19-year-old’s signature.

Doue has made a significant impact in Ligue 1, earning recognition as one of the most promising talents in Europe.

Known for his versatility, the youngster primarily plays as an attacking midfielder but can also operate on either wing or as a forward. His acceleration, pace, and excellent dribbling make him an offensive force to be reckoned with.

In March this year, Doue made his debut for the France Olympic football team, scoring two goals in a friendly against Cote d’Ivoire, further highlighting his potential.

Tottenham are determined to secure Doue’s services, viewing him as a crucial addition to their squad. The teenager has progressed remarkably within Rennes’ youth academy, joining at the age of five and now standing out in the senior team.

Last season, he made 31 appearances in Ligue 1, scoring four goals and providing five assists in 17 starts.

With two years remaining on his contract, which he extended last August, Doue’s current market value stands at €30 million.

Tottenham are prepared to invest a similar amount to bring this young talent to North London, enhancing their attacking options.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven continues to shine for the Netherlands in Euro 2024.

Despite not being a regular starter under Ronald Koeman, Van de Ven has made impactful contributions off the bench, featuring in four games.

In the quarter-finals against Turkey, the Netherlands secured a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory. Van de Ven was introduced as a substitute, playing 17 crucial minutes.

As shown in the following clip, Turkey’s forward sent a dangerous low cross into the box, which goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen managed to parry away in the closing stages.

The ball, however, fell to Zeki Celik, who appeared certain to score into an open net. Van de Ven made a clutch game-saving block, ensuring the Netherlands’ lead and their progression to the semi-finals.

Tottenham urged to swerve summer move for 24-year-old Premier League attacker

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto.

The 24-year-old has been a key player for Wolves and his performances have attracted the attention of the North London club.

Neto has established himself as a reliable performer in the Premier League and there is no doubt that he would improve them going forward. However, former scout Bryan King feels that Tottenham should look to invest in a quality number nine instead of signing another winger.

King feels that Spurs are already well-stocked in the wide areas, especially with players like Richarlison, Son Heung-min Brennan Johnson and Dejan Kulusevski. Tottenham have missed a clinical presence upfront since the departure of Harry Kane and signing a quality striker would certainly improve them.

“They are quite well-stocked in wide areas,” King said to Tottenham Hotspur News.

“Brennan Johnson was signed for big money, Dejan Kulusevski is there and they of course have Son Heung-min also.

“Therefore, they don’t need a wide player, but perhaps they want to make an exciting signing. I still think that signing should be in the number nine position.

“They do need that marquee signing to get supporters excited because, at the moment, supporters aren’t excited.

“The price of everything is going up at the club, and fans need a boost to see that the club mean business. Tottenham in their present state will not challenge for the Premier League.”

The North London club have deployed Son as their centre forward this past season, but they need a specialist goal scorer in their ranks and it will be interesting to see if they decide to bring in a striker this summer.

The North London outfit will be hoping to push for major trophies next season and they will look to secure Champions League qualification as well. Signing a quality goalscorer will certainly help them improve.

It is evident that they have a number of players who were capable of operating in the wide areas, but they are lacking a specialist goalscorer right now. Therefore investing in a reliable number nine certainly makes sense. They have been linked with players like Ivan Toney and Santiago Gimenez in recent months. It will be interesting to see who they end up signing eventually.

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for the Southampton defender Kyle Walker-Peters.

The 27-year-old has been a key player for the newly promoted club and he has been linked with a return to his former club.

Former Tottenham scout Bryan King believes that he would be a good squad player for the club and he could be the ideal backup option to Pedro Porro.

“Walker-Peters is a good player,” King said to Tottenham Hotspur News.

“He will certainly have things to offer Tottenham if he were to return to the club. However, Southampton have now been promoted to the Premier League.

“What kind of money would he cost? Would he be a backup for Porro? I’d say he probably would be.

“It is an interesting link, he hasn’t gotten any worse since going to Southampton. He could certainly be a good squad member, that is for sure.”

Emerson Royal has been linked with a move away from Tottenham and the North London club will have to replace him quickly. The Brazilian has been a useful squad player and Tottenham cannot hope to head into the new season with just one specialist right back at the club.

Walker-Peters has proven himself in English football, and there is no doubt that he would be a handy option for Ange Postecoglou.

Tottenham will be competing in the UEFA Europa league next season and they need a deeper squad in order to do well across multiple competitions

Walker-Peters could make an instant impact in the Premier League. He has played in the top flight in the past and he knows the club well. He could settle in quickly and make an instant impact.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to make a move for him in the coming weeks.

Journalist feels Tottenham’s new arrival will replace 23-year-old in the squad

Dan Bardell believes Tottenham’s new signing Archie Gray will replace Oliver Skipp in the squad.

Archie Gray had an impressive debut season with Leeds United’s first team last summer. He featured in over 50 matches for them and managed to make quite a name for himself. On the back of his exceptional performances in the Championship, Tottenham went hard to sign him and managed to acquire his services in a deal worth up to £40 million.

Journalist Dan Bardell feels Gray is a great addition to the Tottenham squad and he will end up replacing Oliver Skipp in their squad.

While taking to Tottenham News, he said: “I actually think he’ll play more regularly than people imagine.

“It’s interesting because he played a lot of football at right-back and when Spurs are missing their full-backs they found it hard to find someone to do what they do.

“Archie Gray isn’t a full-back but is very adept playing there and stepping up and into midfield. I think he’ll also get a fair amount of game time in the middle of the park so I think it’s definitely an upgrade to the squad.

“Gray probably takes Oliver Skipp’s place in the squad and I think that is a positive for Tottenham’s squad.“

Bardell believes Gray will play a big part in his first season at the club. His versatility could be a huge boost for him as well as Ange Postecoglou. The majority of his appearances for Leeds came as a right-back which suggests he could help Spurs out in a situation where Pedro Porro is unavailable.

Not only can he provide cover at right-back, but the Leeds graduate is also expected to have a significant amount of game time in the centre of the park given the kind of qualities he has. The versatile teenager’s arrival will see Oliver Skipp go further down the pecking order.

Skipp has been a part of the Tottenham setup since 2013, he was promoted to their first team in 2018 but hasn’t been able to establish himself there. Gray’s arrival could actually help the English defensive midfielder look for a move away from the club in search of regular first-team action.

Tottenham are front-runners for the signature of Crystal Palace attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze.

Ange Postecoglou wants to add more firepower to his squad ahead of next season. After making a decent start to life in North London, the Australian manager wants to take Tottenham to the next level and is keen on making the necessary changes to make it happen.

Postecoglou is a big admirer of Crystal Palace mainstay Eberechi Eze and according to a report from GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham are a leading club in the race for the English international’s signature. Eze has had an exceptional rise since joining the Eagles in 2020 and multiple top clubs from across Europe are keen on signing him.

Last season, he was involved in 31 games across competitions and ended up contributing towards 17 goals (11 goals, 6 assists). While the majority of his appearance came as a number ten, he can feature on the flanks as well.

Oliver Glasner considers him to be an integral part of his plans moving ahead and people at the club remain hopeful that none of the interested clubs will look to trigger the £60 million release clause in his contract at Selhurst Park.

Tottenham’s interest in him is quite understandable as they look to add more quality in attack. Not only can Eze compete with James Maddison for a place in the starting XI, but he will also add depth on the flanks. The 26-year-old is exactly the kind of player the Australian manager needs.

It will be interesting to see if they are willing to pay a premium for the England international this summer. Convincing the player to join them should not be difficult. It would be a step up in his career and he is likely to be attracted to the idea of playing for Tottenham.

Tottenham turn down offer for 25-year-old utility man who wants to leave

Tottenham Hotspur have rejected AC Milan’s initial offer for full-back Emerson Royal.

The Brazilian international is keen on making a move away from Tottenham in search of regular first-team action and AC Milan are pushing for his signature. According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, the North London club have turned down the Italian club’s initial offer for Emerson’s services.

The arrival of Ange Postecoglou last summer saw the former Barcelona full-back go down the pecking order at Tottenham. While he was involved in 24 games last season, the majority of those appearances came because of injuries at the back. With the 25-year-old not a part of the Australian manager’s plans moving ahead, he seems keen on making a move away.

AC Milan are interested in his signature as they look to reinforce their backline. The Italian outfit believes Emerson could be an ideal fit for their system and since he has a lot of years left in him, Milan have been working towards a potential deal.

They recently submitted their initial offer for the services of the Brazilian international. While Di Marzio hasn’t mentioned the details of their proposal, his report states that it was far from Spurs’ valuation of €20 million. A report from Gazzetta dello Sport suggests the initial offer might have been around €15 million including bonuses.

Emerson is not a part of Posetcoglou’s plans moving ahead and with just two years left on his deal, offloading him would surely make sense. While the player is also keen on leaving, Spurs might not have taken it into consideration while turning down their initial offer.

It hasn’t surprised Milan as they did see it coming despite having reached an agreement with the player on personal terms. The coming week or the next 10 days will be decisive for Milan as they look to strike a deal with Tottenham.

Alasdair Gold shares what he knows about Tottenham’s links with Juventus star

Tottenham Hotspur have been eager to bolster their attacking options in the current transfer window. However, it seems that Spurs are unlikely to pursue Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, despite his availability at a bargain price this summer.

Renowned journalist Alasdair Gold recently mentioned on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast that sources within the club have downplayed any interest in the Italian star, who is reportedly available for just £17 million.

The 26-year-old forward has entered the final year of his contract with Juventus, which is set to expire next June.

Known for his speed, skill, and versatility on both wings, Chiesa has been a standout performer for the Bianconeri.

In the 2021-22 season, Chiesa’s momentum was disrupted by an anterior cruciate ligament injury, sidelining him for seven months.

Despite this setback, he made a strong comeback, scoring 9 goals and providing 3 assists in 33 Serie A appearances last season .

Internationally, Chiesa has shined as well, playing a pivotal role in Italy’s Euro 2020 victory and earning a spot in the Team of the Tournament.

Despite Chiesa’s impressive credentials and the relatively low transfer fee, Tottenham appears to have ruled out a move for him.

Gold highlighted that enquiries about Chiesa yielded negative responses from multiple Spurs sources, indicating that the club is not looking to sign the Juventus winger at this time.

Gold stated:

“It’s one of those where you see the price and you’re like ‘ooh’. I asked about Chiesa a few days back around various people and everything coming back was ‘no’. I should stress that was a few days ago.”

While Federico Chiesa would undoubtedly add quality and depth to the team, it appears that a transfer to North London is not currently in the cards for the Italian international.

Tottenham’s focus seems to be elsewhere as they continue to explore other options to strengthen their squad for the upcoming Premier League campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur are actively seeking to bolster their attacking options this summer, with recent reports indicating a renewed interest in Wolves winger Pedro Neto.

According to the latest updates from GiveMeSport, Spurs have initiated fresh enquiries to explore the possibility of signing the Portuguese international.

The North London club is eager to determine Wolves’ asking price for the 24-year-old star as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.

Pedro Neto has garnered attention from several top clubs, including Manchester City and Newcastle United.

His agent is reportedly pushing for a transfer away from Molineux, aiming to secure a move to a club with higher ambitions before the transfer window closes.

Despite being under contract with Wolves until June 2027, Neto is expected to leave if a significant offer is tabled.

While his long-term deal might suggest stability, Wolves may be willing to negotiate his departure for the right bid.

Last season, Neto showcased his talents by scoring 3 goals and providing 11 assists in 24 appearances across the Premier League and FA Cup.

His electrifying pace, versatility, and ability to lead the attack have made him a key player for Wolves and a coveted target for Spurs.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently confirmed Spurs’ interest but noted the club’s concerns about Neto’s injury record.

Despite these concerns, Tottenham appear willing to take the risk, which is why they have made fresh enquiries about the player’s price tag.

Tottenham’s interest in Neto aligns with their strategy to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.

The North London club, under the management of Ange Postecoglou, is making calculated moves to strengthen their squad for a challenging Premier League campaign.
