Frankfurt and Tottenham will go head-to-head in the Europa League quarter-final second leg at Deutsche Bank Park on Thursday night, with the tie currently hanging in the balance.
The Bundesliga club and Ange Postecoglou's side battled to a 1-1 draw last week before Spurs suffered a disappointing 4-2 defeat to Wolves this past weekend in the Premier League, while Dino Toppmoller's side claimed a 3-0 win in the league this past weekend.
Both sides have got injury concerns heading into the big clash, leaving the managers with some decisions to make and this is how GIVEMESPORT expect the teams to line up.
Frankfurt Team News
Trapp set to return
Frankfurt are set to welcome first-choice goalkeeper Kevin Trapp back to the team for this fixture in a major boost, while Ansgar Knauff, Krisztian Lisztes and Junior Dina Ebimbe will be assessed ahead of the game.
Elye Wahi and Timothy Chandler are also doubts, while Oscar Hojlund, Igor Matanovic and Jens Grahle aren't registered for the Europa League.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Toppmoller shared his thoughts on the game.
"It's great that Knauff and Trapp are back. Trapp doesn't play a role for tomorrow. Knauff will be back in the squad tomorrow. Ansgar isn’t fit enough for the starting eleven yet.
"Kristensen played a really good game at Tottenham. We had Son well under control. Collins is a player we can always rely on. We're happy to have two players who have proven time and time again that they are top players."
Frankfurt Predicted XI
Ekitike and Larsson to start
Frankfurt Predicted XI: Santos; Kristensen, Koch, Theate, Brown; Tuta, Skhiri; Gotze, Larsson, Bahoya; Ekitike.
Frankfurt Predicted Substitutes: Trapp (GK), Obert (GK), Nissen (DEF), Collins (DEF), Nkounkou (DEF), Uzun (MID), Fenyo (MID), Dahoud (MID), Chaibi (MID), Trapp (FWD), Wahi (FWD), Batshuayi (FWD).
After a positive performance in north London last week, Toppmoller is unlikely to make too many changes. Trapp isn't fit enough return between the sticks, while Germany international Knauff will start on the bench after recovering from injury.
£95,000-a-week duo Mahmoud Dahoud and former Chelsea star Michy Batshuayi should provide depth off the bench.
Tottenham Team News
Danso available
Spurs are set to be without captain Heung-Min Son once again for this game in a blow for Postecoglou, while Radu Dragusin is out for the rest of the year with a knee injury.
Dejan Kulusevski made his return at the weekend following a foot problem and could be in line to start, while defender Kevin Danso is available again following a hamstring injury.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Postecoglou shared an update on the squad.
"Sonny didn't travel and he's the only one who hasn't travelled. He's been struggling with his foot for a couple of weeks now and has been in pain. Everyone else is good. Kevin [Danso] trained and is available."
Tottenham Predicted XI
Kulusevski and Solanke to start
Tottenham Predicted XI: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Bentancur, Bergvall; Johnson, Kulusevski, Tel; Solanke.
Tottenham Predicted Substitutes: Austin (GK), Whiteman (GK), Spence (DEF), Davies (DEF), Danso (DEF), Gray (DEF), Bissouma (MID), Sarr (MID), Maddison (MID), Odobert (FWD), Richarlison (FWD), Moore (FWD)
