Tottenham Hotspur players have taken to social media following their 4-1 win over Ipswich Town.

Brennan Johnson stuck twice in the space of eight minutes after replacing James Maddison. Archie Gray put Son Heung-min away down the left and his low cross was poked home by Johnson. Rodrigo Bentancur then sent Son away again down the left, he cut inside and found the unmarked Johnson, who struck a low shot past the keeper. Omari Hutchinson then grabbed a goal in response before the break.

The hosts pushed for a leveller, but it was Tottenham who netted a third through Djed Spence. He hit a deflected effort past Alex Palmer to make it 3-1. Dejan Kulusevski also got on the score-sheet as he curled an effort in off the left-hand post. Dane Scarlett's header fell into the path of the midfielder who completed the verdict.

Speaking after the game, Ange Postecoglou said: "They're one of the hardest working teams in the league. You know you're going up against a battle and a contest - we had to do that today. First half, we could have done better. We allowed them some moments, but in the second half we dug in. That allowed us to execute and play our football. When you come to a place like this, the crowd creates energy. We had to weather that storm.

"We were always a threat. Sonny was unplayable in that first half. So great to get Brennan back. He scores so many goals for us in those areas. The fact that we can throw people on from the bench who can contribute, and I could give Madders [James Maddison] and Pedro [Porro] a rest. Everybody gets a boost. From our perspective, these past two weeks have given us a breather and reset our football. I'm pleased the boys have embraced it."

After the game, a number of players took to Instagram to share some snaps of the win. Kevin Danso, who played the entire game, led the reaction on Instagram.

"+3. Solid next step. We keep working hard," he wrote before Guglielmo Vicario - who made his second start after returning from an ankle injury - added: "It's all about good vibes. 3 points in the tank."

Spence also shared a post of his own followed by the caption: "I'm coming for everything." Maddison picked out a single player for praise, adding: "Johnson again ole oleeeee. COYS."

Kulusevski cited: "Bravo leonie" while Lucas Bergvall shared a picture of himself celebrating with Johnson followed by a white love heart.

The result has put Spurs in 12th ahead of a mouth-watering Premier League showdown with Manchester City on Wednesday night (7.30pm). Pep Guardiola's team will first host Liverpool on Sunday afternoon before their trip to north London in midweek.
