Tottenham Hotspur chief football officer Scott Munn’s future is in ‘severe doubt’ heading into the summer, The Athletic has revealed.

The Australian executive could reportedly leave Spurs after just two years in North London amid a looming boardroom shake-up and the team’s struggles on the pitch.

Tottenham appointed Vinai Venkatesham as chief executive officer last week, and it is believed that Munn’s role could be affected by his arrival, with the ex-Arsenal man set to take on some responsibilities from Daniel Levy and other board members in his new position.

Munn was appointed by Tottenham in 2023 following the departure of director of football Fabio Paratici, who has been linked with a surprise return in recent months.

Boardroom shake-up anticipated in North London

According to The Athletic, Munn oversaw multiple internal changes during his first two years at Tottenham, including overhauls in the scouting and medical departments.

These changes resulted in substantial staff turnover and reportedly ‘ruffled feathers’ internally, with a severe injury crisis becoming a particular point of concern this season.

While there is a belief that the recruitment department has improved in terms of identifying some of the brightest talents across the continent, the on-pitch results have been disappointing and could soon lead to several departures, with both Munn and manager Ange Postecoglou’s futures in doubt.

GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Tottenham have lost 17 of their 32 league games this season.

Tottenham are now heading for their worst Premier League finish in 20 years as they sit 15th in the table with six games remaining.

The Lilywhites last finished as low as this in the 1993/94 season, and they are also on course to miss out on the top half of the table for the first time since 2007/08.

As a result, Postecoglou’s future has been a hot topic in recent weeks, with some even suggesting that a Europa League quarter-final defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt could mark the end of his tenure.
