Things are really heating up in the transfer window with just days to go.

Indeed, top Premier League clubs are starting to ramp up their interest in their targets, and after a long month of difficult results, Tottenham are starting to make moves.

Tottenham have been in the market for a new attacker this month.

Spurs wanted Randal Kolo Muani before his move to Juventus, while Tottenham have also been linked to Jonathan David.

Tottenham have been linked to Mathys Tel over the past 24 hours, and according to Fabrizio Romano, Spurs are ready to buy the Bayern Munich striker with one of Spurs’ key figures in attendance at Bayern Munich’s Champions League game on Wednesday.

According to Romano, the race to sign Mathys Tel is heating up.

The striker has been valued at £40m, and according to Romano, Tottenham are ready to invest in a permanent deal.

The journalist says that a Tottenham director was in attendance at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday.

Unfortunately for Spurs, they won’t have a clear run at this signing.

Indeed, Romano also notes that Chelsea and Manchester United are keen on Tel, so that could cause Spurs a problem.

Mathys Tel stats vs Slovan Bratislava

A Tottenham director was in attendance to watch Tel play against Slovan Bratislava on Wednesday, and they were treated to what has to be described as a lively performance.

Tel didn’t manage to score a goal in this game, but he was a very consistent threat.

Indeed, the stats show that Tel was getting into dangerous areas and making things happen.

Seven shots in 61 minutes of football is quite staggering, but the worry is that he didn’t find the net.

Tottenham already have a plethora of attackers who can get into good positions only to not finish – Timo Werner and Richarlison come to mind, and the last thing they need is another striker of that ilk.

Tel is yet to score a single goal in any competition this season, and that fact should have alarm bells ringing at Spurs.
