Tottenham appear to be the team to watch on this transfer deadline day.
Indeed, with Spurs sitting 14th in the Premier League, Tottenham need some serious help, and they are trying to make some deals happen late in the day.
Kevin Danso has joined Spurs, while Axel Disasi is a concrete Tottenham target in the final hours of this window.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have also bid for Marc Guehi late in the day.
Guehi and Disasi are defensive targets for Tottenham, but let’s not forget, Tottenham also want a new attacker.
Indeed, Tottenham wanted Randal Kolo Muani earlier this month, while Tottenham tried to sign Mathys Tel this week too.
Speaking on Market Madness, Ben Jacobs has been discussing some potential late action from Spurs on deadline day, and he says that he’s heard in the past hour that Noah Okafor could end up at Tottenham.
Noah Okafor to Tottenham possible late on
Jacobs shared what he’s heard about the £25m man and Tottenham in the last hour.
The journalist says that it’s worth keeping an eye on Tottenham signing a new attacker and that Okafor is one to watch late on.
“The stories to keep an eye on are as follows – Joao Felix’s future, Tottenham, not just as far as a defender is concerned, also an attacker for Spurs as well,” Jacobs said.
“Also an attacker for Spurs, and one scenario has been put to me in the last hour that Joao Felix could go to AC Milan and Noah Okafor goes to Spurs, that could be one to watch as well,
Noah Okafor stats this season
Tottenham keep trying to sign new strikers, but, for some reason, they keep going for players who aren’t in good form.
Indeed, Mathys Tel hasn’t scored all season, Randal Kolo Muani had just two goals to his name before his move to Juventus, while Evan Ferguson was linked with Tottenham too, and he’s only scored one goal this season too.
It’s a similar story for Okafor too. The AC Milan striker has bagged just one goal all season long in Serie A.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Tottenham do need bodies through the door, but surely they can do better than signing strikers who’ve only scored one or two goals all season.
It’s late in the day, so it is slim pickings for Tottenham, but it’s hard to imagine that Okafor will be the answer to all of Ange Postecoglou’s late transfer window prayers.
