Tottenham have been sweating over the fitness of star man but he’s set to return in the coming days.
Tottenham Hotspur are nearly at full strength ahead of their first league game in 10 days. Argentina duo Cristian Romero and Giovani Lo Celso returned to Hotspur Way on Tuesday after an extended holiday, following their participation in the Copa America.
Rodrigo Bentancur has also resumed training, but what will particularly delight fans is the news that electric left-back Destiny Udogie, who missed the final few games of last season, and Richarlison, who was absent for a large part of the preseason, are both back in training.

Udogie had a promising first season in North London, and manager Ange Postecoglou will hope to give him some minutes in the preseason game against Bayern Munich this weekend before the first league game away at Leicester.
Postecoglou told Tottenham’s official website: “We’ve still got two weeks until the first game of the season. We’ll get some players back this week – obviously, the internationals will be back, Destiny [Udogie] is back training with us. Richarlison should be back in the week – so we’ll get some of our top-end players back into the group, which I think will help. Once we get back, we’ve got 10 to 12 days before our first game, and we’ll make sure we are ready.”
On the transfer front, Tottenham have been strongly linked to Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke, but they will need to be prepared to break their transfer record if they are to secure the striker, who scored 19 goals for the Cherries last season.
They have already signed Archie Gray from Leeds United, and highly-rated Swedish midfielder Lucas Bergvall, who was signed in January, is now with the team and will add some quality and intrigue to the midfield.
