The latest updates on transfer deals involving Crystal Palace, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

Chelsea are closing in on their latest big money addition after they had an offer accepted for Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto.

The Portugal international has reportedly been on the radar of the likes of Liverpool and Newcastle United in recent months and speculation over a possible move away from Molineux was ramped up even further when Wolves head coach Gary O’Neil admitted he would not stand in Neto’s way if his club received a ‘massive bid’ for his services.

Speaking last month, he told the E&S podcast: “I know how good he is, and I know how well he would do at a big club. Obviously I want out team here to be unbelievably successful. So I’m hoping that he stays. I think so (there’s a chance he stays). There’s nothing going on at this moment from anybody. He’s in a good spot, I’ve spoke to him about how we’re going to play and how it suits him and what a big part he’ll play in it.

“But of course, we’re all grown-ups while you’re having them conversations. If a massive bid comes from a top club then no one is going to stand in Pedro’s way. I’m confident that he will be here. Because we haven’t had anything really, that makes the club think that he won’t be. But of course, a lot of business can be done late.”

Chelsea submitted a £54m offer for the Portugal star on Friday and will now undergo a medical in West London as he closes in on becoming the Blues’ tenth signing of an increasingly hectic summer transfer window. Journalist Fabrizio Romano delivered an update on the move via his X (formerly Twitter) account, posting: “Pedro Neto to Chelsea, here we go! Wolves accept bid worth €60m fixed fee plus €3m add-ons as almost matches initial price tag. Neto’s agent Mendes has agreed on personal terms with Chelsea. Medical tests booked for Pedro at Chelsea with Wolves keen on Ajax’s Carlos Forbes.”

Palace legend ‘wants return’ to Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace’s chances of landing a surprise deal for Eagles icon Wilfried Zaha may well have received a major boost on Friday.

Just under 12 months have passed since the forward departed Selhurst Park and agreed a deal with Turkish giants Galatasaray. Zaha scored ten goals and provided five assists as his new side became Super Lig champions - but there has been ongoing speculation suggesting the 31-year-old could return to the Premier League over the coming days. Zaha was not named in the Galatasaray squad for their first league game of the new season against Hatayspor on Friday and Romano has given an exciting update on his stance over a potential return to Palace.

He said: “Wilfried Zaha, not even on the bench for Galatasaray today as he’s close to joining Crystal Palace. Zaha wants to returns and talks over loan deal between clubs are now ongoing.”

AC Milan set to seal Spurs signing

Tottenham Hotspur are moving closer to the signing of Bournemouth star Dominic Solanke after they had a £65m offer accepted for the Cherries striker - but there could also be a departure from Spurs over the coming hours.

Adding competition within his forward ranks was always going to be one of the main aims for Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou and he should get his wish ahead of the first Premier League fixture of the season after major progress was made in the bid to sign Solanke on Friday. However, there will be one current member of the Spurs squad leaving the club in the near future after Romano revealed the finishing touches were being applied for a move to take Emerson Royal to Serie A giants in a deal believed to be worth more than £12m.

He posted: “AC Milan and Tottenham are now also exchanging all documents for Emerson Royal deal. All sealed.”
