Tottenham Hotspur have already experienced their fair share of injury issues over the opening months of the 2024/25 campaign.
It has not been the start to the season Tottenham fans had hoped for, with the Lilywhites slumping to 10th place.
Inconsistency has been a major issue for Spurs with Gary Neville thinking Daniel Levy is trying to sell Tottenham.
Ange Postecoglou’s side have gone into the latest international break with a number of players currently sat out through injury.
And it seems as if their list of injured players could be set to grow over the coming days with one player sustaining an issue on Thursday night.
A number of Tottenham’s players have departed Hotspur Way over the last few days for their national sides including Cristian Romero.
The defender started on the weekend for Tottenham despite going into the game as a doubt after Romero suffered a toe injury against Manchester City.
However, according to Argentine journalist Gaston Edul, Romero may have made his issue worse whilst away with the national side.
‘Cuti Romero is going to get tested,” he said.
‘He played with pain in his right foot and is at risk of not playing on Tuesday.’
Argentina were worried about Romero’s injury going into the break, yet the 26-year-old started the game on Thursday night before being withdrawn at half-time.
Tottenham have serious issues in defence currently
This could not come at much of a worse time for Tottenham with Micky van de Ven also sidelined through injury.
This has left Radu Dragusin as one of the starters and Dragusin has been criticised for his recent displays in a Tottenham shirt.
TBR Football understands Tottenham have held talks over Jonathan Tah who is set to become a free agent in the summer.
And this all comes amid speculation surrounding the Tottenham defender with Real Madrid showing an interest in Romero.
