The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Al Hilal but, while he confirmed a Saudi offer was made, he wants to remain in the Premier League.

The 27-year-old told ESPN Brasil: "There has been an offer but my dream of playing for the Brazilian Selecao and in the Premier League speaks louder.

"The money is big but my dreams are bigger."

Spurs are in the market for a striker and potentially a wide forward.

It is, however, unlikely Ange Postecoglou's side will sign both if Richarlison stays.

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola said Dominic Solanke missed their pre-season win over Rayo Vallecano due to a foot injury amid speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham.

The striker has a £65m clause in his contract if a big Premier League club comes in for him and Spurs are rumoured to be interested in the 26-year-old.

Speculation only intensified on Sunday afternoon when Solanke was missing for Bournemouth's pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano at the Vitality Stadium.

But Cherries boss Iraola explained an injury was behind the Englishman's omission and he expects him to return in Saturday's pre-season match against Girona.

Iraola told Sky Sports News: “Someone stamped on his (Solanke's) foot yesterday and we are not going to risk him in a pre-season friendly, and I hope he is going to play in the next game against Girona.

"[It's] nothing big [Solanke's injury], just that he couldn’t put the boot on, and we decided obviously to [not risk him]. Even with other players, I hope they can play against Girona and we can see them. They are really close, they had some small issues, like Justin Kluivert and Lewis Cook.

"With so many players and so many games it doesn’t make sense to take any risks and we decided like this.”

Asked about how an injury is perceived amid transfer speculation, the Spaniard responded: “It’s not in my control. I tell you what has happened and I’ve seen it happen. It’s the reality.

"It’ll probably make it bigger, but the truth is Dom came today and we decided it doesn’t make any sense to risk him in a friendly but it’s not a big injury, I’m not worried because he will be fine in three of four days.”

'AC Milan bid £12.8m plus add-ons for Spurs defender Royal'

Ange confirms striker focus amid Solanke links

Ange Postecoglou has confirmed Tottenham are focusing on signing a centre-forward amid links with Bournemouth's Dominic Solanke.

Speaking to football.london, the Spurs boss said: "At Celtic, I had Kyogo, who was a sort of out and out number nine and in Japan, I've always had a striker.

"It just depends, like last year we had to be a bit creative, it's fair to say. You know but if Harry [Kane] would have stayed I definitely would have used him!

"So I think for us what's more important is the type of striker we get. You know we play a certain way. We demand certain things from a physical perspective from the technical aspects of it that it's going be a striker that fits that mould.

"It's still the area of the park we're really probably the thinnest when I talk about squad-wise at the moment, so obviously that's a focus for us."

However, The Times says Bournemouth do not want to sell Solanke and it is unlikely Tottenham would meet the striker's £65m release clause.

Reguilon 'prioritising club in Europe' for next move

Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon is prioritising a move to a club playing in Europe next season as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.

Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has praised Djed Spence and believes he has a future at the club.

The Australian told football.london: "I think with Djed, for me we got him back into pre-season and we’re judging him on his merits. He's a Tottenham player. To be fair to him, I think he's been very, very good for us this pre-season, in terms of the way he's trained and his general attitude.

"But a lot of these things are in the players' hands themselves. They kind of decide their own future in many respects and I think Djed is in that boat.

"I think there's an opportunity for him here, for sure. Thinking about building a squad, he would be definitely somebody who could [contribute] with the attributes he has. I thought last year there was a chance but it didn't quite work out. For those kind of things, I think sometimes players really wait for direction when they can really take control of their own direction."

He added: "Djed’s here. He is a Spurs player. He's a very good player who fits into our football and so it's as much about him as it is about me making a decision.

"As you see right now, he's been very good pre-season, he's been very good on the tour. He's impressed all the coaches, not just myself. For some of them it’s the first time they've worked with him and they've all been really impressed with him.

"Maybe he's learned a couple of things over the last couple of years about himself and hopefully we can sort of bear the fruit of that."

Spurs to move for Solanke

Why is Zirkzee in demand?

Joshua Zirkzee graduated through Bayern Munich's system and had spells with Parma and Anderlecht before joining Bologna in the summer of 2022.

The forward received limited game time in his first campaign in Serie A, scoring only two league goals from 808 minutes.

This term, the 23-year-old scored 11 league goals and the shot map below suggests he is most lethal from the left-of-centre region.

What are the charges against Man City?

Manchester City have been charged with breaking financial fair play rules around 100 times over a nine-year period, which started in 2009 and went on until 2018.

During that period, Man City, who have denied all the charges against them, won the Premier League three times.

The Premier League's financial fair play rules are designed to ensure clubs pretty much spend what they earn. You can get around that potentially by inflating how much you're earning or hiding how much you are spending.

According to the Premier League, Man City broke the rules over nine seasons by allegedly failing to provide accurate financial information.

Among the charges against City are that they didn't fully disclose the financial remunerations that were made to one of their managers over a four-year period. The suggestion is that there was a secret contract so one of the managers was getting paid much more than officially stated.

The Premier League also allege Man City didn't comply with UEFA's financial fair play rules over a five-year period. They also allege that Man City have not fully co-operated with the Premier League's investigation.

What are the possible punishments?

According to Premier League rules, it can be a points deduction or even the threat of expulsion from the Premier League, although I think that would be an extreme punishment.

But a points deduction would only be applied be in the current season.

What do rival clubs make of it all?

Many Premier League clubs want City to be relegated if they are found guilty of breaking rules over nine seasons.

There is a feeling among top-flight clubs that taking away City's titles retrospectively would be meaningless and cause confusion, but a fine is also not likely to have much of an effect, either.

The clubs who had been pressing hardest for action were the other members of the so-called 'big six': Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.

There will not be much sympathy for City, who have won the Premier League six times in the last 11 years, if they are found guilty.

How did the investigation begin?

The only reason this all came to light was five years ago, German outlet Der Spiegel published an investigation which was based on the work of a Portuguese computer hacker Rui Pinto, who had hacked into the email accounts of various football clubs and agents. It was this story that started the UEFA investigation into Man City, which also led to this Premier League investigation.

Man City issued a statement at the time the charges were brought, which read: "Manchester City FC is surprised by the issuing of these alleged breaches of the Premier League rules, particularly given the extensive engagement and vast amount of detailed materials that the EPL has been provided with.

"The club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position.

"As such we look forward to this matter being put to rest once and for all."

Can City appeal?

The independent commission will be formed of three members, who will be selected by Murray Rosen KC, the chair of the Premier League's judicial panel.

The three-person panel can include any of the 15 members of the judicial panel, as well as non-members.

Once a judgement is made, the Premier League and Man City will be able to appeal - although it cannot be taken to the CAS.

Instead, Rosen would appoint an appeal panel made up of new members. There are currently six members of the Premier League appeal panel.

Who will be on the panel?

Stephen Taylor Heath, JMW head of sports law, speaking to Sky Sports News:

"The commission will have a legal representative on the panel, and you'd expect that representative to be a pretty heavyweight King's Counsel.

"Manchester City have had an obligation to comply with the Premier League's investigation and they now have an obligation to comply with the commission's procedure. If they don't comply then a dim view will be taken.

"If the charges relate to administrative errors then the sanctions will be a slap on the wrist. You would think, if the Premier League have taken it this far, they either think there is a case to answer or they've simply got to the point where they haven't been given the answers, and they're now putting it to a commission to get those answers."

What could the ramifications be for other Premier League clubs?

Football finance expert Kieran Maguire speaking to Sky Sports News:

"If you talk to lawyers, they say it would be difficult for another club to say they lost a title or, perhaps more importantly, access to the Champions League and all the rewards that it brings.

"There was talk not too long ago about Burnley and Leeds potentially putting in a claim against Everton with regards to their financial scenario, although that was never crystallised.

"Everybody is going to be watching this with a huge amount of interest and once independent commission makes a judgement, things will move on from there."

Liverpool reportedly accept £27.5m Brentford bid for Carvalho

Brentford have agreed a £27.5m deal to sign Liverpool's Fabio Carvalho, according to the PA news agency.

The transfer package reportedly includes a number of easily-achievable incentives and a 17.5 per cent sell-on clause.

However, as part of the £5m deal which took the Portuguese to Anfield in 2022, Fulham are due 20 per cent of the fee the Bees are paying.

Carvalho spent last season out on loan at first RB Leipzig and then Hull, scoring nine goals in 20 Championship games for the latter.

Thorup: Rowe withdrawal hampered Norwich at Oxford

New Norwich boss Johannes Hoff Thorup said Jonathan Rowe’s decision to withdraw from the squad on the morning of the 2-0 defeat at Championship newcomers Oxford had a big impact on his team.

The 21-year-old winger has been linked with a move away from Carrow Road during the summer transfer window and was absent at the Kassam Stadium after a reported bid from Marseille on Friday.

A goal in each half by Mark Harris and Cameron Brannagan condemned Thorup to defeat in his first game in charge of City.

The Dane said: “It was too late a decision. It should not happen on game days, of course. It’s fair to say it can have some effect on the group and on the performance level.

“These things can happen, it can also be an injury in the warm-up and you have to find the best possible solution.

“I think it’s positive that we have players who are interesting to other clubs. We have to be prepared that something can happen – not just with Jonny but with others in the rest of the window now.

“You need to prepare for more or less everything when the transfer window is open. But it was not ideal and if I were a teammate I would not be happy about the situation.

“My next plan is to have a conversation with Jonny on what happened today – and how can we continue moving forward.”

Blake said: “After Dominic’s performances for us – in particular his impressive 2023-24 season – it has come as no surprise that a team of Tottenham’s calibre has shown an interest.

“This move has developed quickly but Dominic has remained professional throughout and I’d like to thank him for that.

“His development since arriving in 2019 is a credit to his work rate and endeavour, as well as the platform AFC Bournemouth gives young talent to grow.

Ex-Japan international 'King Kazu' Miura starts new loan aged 57

Kazuyoshi Miura was matter-of-fact about it this week when he joined Japanese club Atletico Suzuka.

"I'm at quite an age," he said in a Tokyo news conference.

Miura is 57, and the former Japanese international is still playing after most of his contemporaries have been out of the game for decades.

Simply known as "King Kazu," he is joining the fourth-tier Japanese club on loan from second-division team FC Yokohama.

He returns to Japan and the same Suzuka club after playing for two seasons on loan with second-division Portuguese team Oliveirense, where he played sparingly and failed to score.

Miura scored two goals in his first stint with the Suzuka club in 2022 before leaving for Portugal.

Miura scored 55 goals in 89 appearances and was a star with Japan's national team in the 1990s.

"Retiring isn't an option. I want to play as many minutes as I can in games," Miura said this week at a news conference, quoted by Japanese news agency Kyodo.

Miura has played professionally in Brazil, Italy, Croatia, Australia and Portugal. He made his debut in 1986 with Brazilian club Santos, a side made famous by Brazilian star Pele.

Bellamy, Parker remain in running for Burnley job

Craig Bellamy and Scott Parker are still in the running to become Burnley’s new boss after Ruud van Nistelrooy opted to return to Manchester United, report the Daily Mirror.

Bellamy - the current acting head coach at Turf Moor - has been at the club since 2022 and previously worked under Vincent Kompany.

Parker, meanwhile, has been out of work since March 2023, when an ill-fated spell at Club Brugge came to an end after just 12 games.

Man Utd could enter race for Calvert-Lewin

Man Utd could enter the race to sign Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin if they are unable to get a deal with Bologna’s Joshua Zirkzee over the line, according to The Sun.

Sky Sports reported on Monday that Newcastle would not pursue their interest in the 27-year-old.

The Magpies had been in talks with the player but a £40m deal had proved too costly.

Calvert-Lewin has a year left on his contract at Goodison Park and is a player Newcastle boss Eddie Howe had been monitoring for several years.

Erik ten Hag has moved closer to signing a new contract at Manchester United following positive talks with the club and is set to retain the title of manager, report the Daily Mail.

The Dutchman has one-year remaining on his current deal, but he has been offered fresh terms.

However, it is understood nothing has yet been finalised.

'Barcelona hold talks over shock Philogene move'

Barcelona have held talks with Hull City over a shock move for young forward Jaden Philogene according to reports in Spain.

The London-born 22-year-old came through Aston Villa's youth ranks before joining the Tigers last September.

Philogene scored 12 goals and provided six assists in 33 games in all competitions last term.

The Championship side have agreed compensation with Lorient and Le Bris has been granted a work permit.

The process had been drawn out further by the approach for Will Still, which failed earlier this month.

Le Bris, 48, was on a five-man shortlist drawn up when Michael Beale left in February.

Chelsea close to signing Villa youngster Kellyman

Chelsea are set to sign Aston Villa youngster Omari Kellyman, as Ian Maatsen completes his move to Villa.

The two clubs have been discussing a player moving to Stamford Bridge amidst talks for the left-back, with Chelsea interested in striker Jhon Duran.

But there has been no agreement for the Colombian yet, so Kellyman - an 18-year-old attacking midfielder and England U20 international - is instead closing in on the switch for a reported £19m.

Maatsen close to agreeing terms with Chelsea

Chelsea's Ian Maatsen has a broad agreement on personal terms with Aston Villa.

The final details on a six-year contract are being sorted now.

It's understood he will have his medical in Germany this weekend. Maatsen is part of the Netherlands Euro 2024 squad.

The fee for the 22-year-old is understood to be to be between £35m and £40m and it will rise with add-ons.

Chelsea announce signing of Estevao Willian

Chelsea have announced the signing of Brazilian wonderkid Estevao Willian, in a deal worth an initial £29.1m.

The 17-year-old winger from Palmeiras will officially join Chelsea next summer, after he turns 18 in April.

Brazil youth international winger Estevao is rated as one of the best young talents in his country. He has two goals and two assists from 10 Brazilian Serie A appearances.

The Brazil youth international is nicknamed Messinho having been likened to Lionel Messi.

Bayern agree deal to sign Palace winger Olise

Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Crystal Palace to sign winger Michael Olise, according to Sky Germany.

The Bundesliga giants will pay €60m (£50.7m) including add-ons to bring the 22-year-old to the Allianz Arena.

Last week, Sky Sports News reported that Bayern, Chelsea and Newcastle had approached Palace before Chelsea dropped out of the race to sign Olise.

Chelsea offered the player a competitive financial package but he wanted to move to Bayern. He is now expected to sign a contract until 2029 with Vincent Kompany's side.

After joining Palace in 2021, Olise scored 10 goals and provided six assists in 19 appearances last season, despite a largely injury-hit campaign. His current deal with the Premier League club was not due to expire until 2027.

Harrison returning to Everton

A deal to take Leeds winger Jack Harrison back to Everton for another season-long loan is expected to be completed within 48 hours.

The 27-year-old, who is under contract at Leeds until 2028, spent the last campaign on loan at Goodison Park.

Newcastle in talks to sign Everton striker Calvert-Lewin

Newcastle are in talks with Everton over a deal for striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The 27-year-old has a year left on his contract at Goodison Park and is a player that Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has been monitoring for several years, although a deal could be tricky depending on the financial package the player and Everton want.

In a separate deal, Everton are interested in signing Newcastle winger Yankuba Minteh.

The 19-year-old spent a successful season with Arne Slot's Feyenoord last year but has never played a game for Newcastle.

However, there are a number of European clubs also interested in Minteh and preparing to rival Everton's potential offer.

Both moves would help Newcastle and Everton with their respective PSR issues.

Man Utd, Spurs interested in Lille's David

As yet, no formal contact has been made, but that can change quickly.

David is into the final year of his contract.

Chelsea in talks to sign Villa prospect Kellyman

Chelsea are in talks with Aston Villa about signing teenage prospect Omari Kellyman as Ian Maatsen closes in on his move to the Midlands, according to the Telegraph.

The report claims Kellyman, an 18-year-old attacking player, is seen as a big prospect inside Villa Park and Chelsea have enquired about taking him to Stamford Bridge as part of the talks surrounding Maatsen, Jhon Duran and Conor Gallagher.

Chelsea have not yet dropped their interest in Duran, but are taking time to make background checks and discuss personal terms with the Colombian, while also checking on other striker targets.

In the meantime, Chelsea have opened negotiations over Kellyman, who Villa value at £20m due to his talent and potential.

Iroegbunam joins Everton from Villa

Everton have signed midfielder Tim Iroegbunam from Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee on a three-year deal.

The 20-year-old becomes the Toffees' first summer signing and will meet his new team-mates when Sean Dyche's side report back to Finch Farm for the start of pre-season next month.

Iroegbunam has represented England at youth level and was part of the side that won the European U19 Championship in 2022.

After sealing his move to Everton, he told evertontv: "I'm very pleased. Everton is an amazing club, a big club and I'm just really happy to join and I can't wait to get started.

"It was a move that I didn't want to pass by. I wanted to take the opportunity.

"When I spoke to Kevin [Thelwell], he told me more about the club – its history, the future and where they see me playing.

"It made me feel very excited because there are big things coming, especially with the new stadium.

"When I've been to Goodison as an opposition player, I've seen how the Everton fans are. You can tell straight away what the atmosphere is like – they are always backing the team. I'm going to work hard for them.

"I just can't wait to get started. I'm going to give everything and I can't wait to show what I can bring to this club."
